Circumcision Advise!

Hi guys I was looking to get some advise. There’s a possibility that I might have to have a circumcision in the coming weeks to a month as my banjo string keeps tearing during sex (I’m using enough lube but it’s too tight).

It might be my fault for leaving it for so long (5 years) but I was a little unsure about going and thought that it might get better over time. I was wrong.

Anyway, im 24 and was looking to get advise or to hear some of your stories to help me during the recovery... I’m also worried about it looking like a rodent has chewed the end of it I want it to look nice still!

Any advise or comments would be appreciated!

I’m sure all will be ok, when I was cut I didn’t have any guidance for circumcision styles, it would have been nice to have had that discussion with my GP. Healing time is between 2-4 weeks, but if getting cut is the last resort it should at least stop things from tearing.

Tell doctor you want to keep as much skin as possible. Don’t let him cut much skin off. The foreskin is where most of the nerve endings are. There are ways to cut the banjo string without actually cutting any skin off. Research “frenuplasty” and “preputioplasty”

I didn’t even know about that, I know that it can’t be lengthened as it’s torn too much. Again, I know it’s my fault.

I will look into that I’ve been past onto a consultant that will discuss what my options are but the GP has said that being cut is a last resort but quite possible.

It’s not your fault. Sometimes things just happen. There many many surgeries that can be done nowadays. There are so many options to look into before going for a full on circ. Get at least another opinion or two. There are specialists and urologists who might be more well qualified. This is your penis, it’s very important, and you should be careful and do you absolute best to preserve its natural function. Don’t let any quack do a full circ on you

Meatal stenosis after surgical correction of short frenulum: Is the “pull-and-burn” method the way to go? Gyftopoulos KI - Urol Ann

Even if the fren is very short and tight they can still release it to allow your skin to move more and not be in pain.

just think: of there isn’t enough frenulum, how would cutting off more skin (circumcision) help with anything? If there isn’t enough skin it doesn’t make sense to take more skin off..
Thank you man, you’ve given me a lot to think about and look into! Feeling a little better about it now

And the boyf will be happier if I can keep uncut, as he like my skin

Very good! I’ve just seen too many stories of guys not knowing what their options are and being devastated when the result is nothing like they expected. I hope I could save you some pain.
And it will be better for you, and your bf :) good luck dude!

My frenulum got torn and the Dr. just cut through it and removed nothing. It works as before. It is somewhat let sensitive than before in the frenulum area but all the nerves are there and working fine. The foreskin is fully there and working find.

Dude I was cut at 19 my advice is to talk over all of the options you have regarding cut style you do not want him to cut too much skin off so it is tight when you get erect. or it pulls to one side cause it is uneven. the Dr that did mine left it loose on the shaft. recovery is a pain the first few nights you will be awaken by an erections pulling on the freshly cut skin keep it clean and in 6 weeks it is mostly heald.but it is a pain if you do not like the Dr who should be a urologist find another
good luck

I'm sure they can sort out the frenulum, which would be a simple procedure. I can't see why you'd need a circumcision, especially as you clearly don't want it (and nor does your bf!).

You should be able to just snip or tie the frenulum. No circ required.
Having said that, there's nothing wrong with being cut either. I prefer it.
