Circumcision And Vasectomy - Together!

I will soon be having simultaneous surgery for both a circumcision AND a vasectomy.
I wondered how common (or not) this is - and whether anyone has any experiences, tips, or even general thoughts or advice to share??
This all started as I went to my urologist because my frenulum has been bothering me a lot - gets tugged and irritated easily. Plus my foreskin has become tighter and more easily irritated with age. So we agreed that a circ was beneficial.
I then also raised the fact that I never want any more children - so what was his advice about vasectomy? He encouraged having both done at once. One surgery, one anaesthetic.
Would love to hear from folks with any views, tips, advice.

Best of luck to you @LukeEUSA . Always a risk with any surgery, so I see the benefit to doing all at once.

Have you practiced wearing your foreskin pulled back, to get used to all the rubbing of cloth on Glans? Might as well start the keratinization of your glans now, get used to the sensory input before the ache of surgery gets added on top of that.

Will you be taking before pictures for yourself?
Will you take a cum load measurement before & after? Probably couldn't tell the difference, but I'm one who loves to play with data comparison, so I would.

Thanks so much!
I do plan to take many pictures before and after - yes. Must keep a documented history of my foreskin before it’s gone for good!
Nice idea about the cum shots! May try!

At age 36, I had my frenulum removed and a vasectomy at the same time with a local anesthesia and it wasn’t bad at all. It did take my frenulum longer then I had hoped to heal. I had 11 stitches in my dick and the vasectomy was what they call the no scalpel kind. I looked like a little kid that morning. Completely shaved down there and all shrunk up. LOL. The minute the first needle hit my dick from anesthesia I popped rock hard. The doc said that happens lots of times.

...and now my surgery has been delayed!
It can’t be April 3rd - maybe now June (at best!)
Oh well - there’s more important needs for that Doctor and his hospital right now.
Guess I’ll have a foreskin to play with for a while longer!

As long as they use local anesthetic, you're fine. If the doctor insists on general anesthesia and hospital visit to do both, then stick to circumcision with local. If doctor insists in general anesthesis for your circ, choose another one.

Yes, I had a circumcision and Vasectomy at same procedure. I was about age 29 when it took place in the Doctors office under a local anaesthetic. Recovery was not that bad and was quickly back to having sex and masterbation. I did have to go back after a period later to masterbate in a cup which they tested the ejackulation to make sure the circumcision worked I guess. This took place in the early 1970's. Never any problems noticed from the procedure. Best of luck and hope you have a speedy recovery period.

Doctor: Thank you for visiting today and ejaculating in to this cup. Well, your foreskin has not grown back so I declare your circumcision a success!

So since you ejaculated in a cup they must have lab tested your ejaculate to see if the vasectomy was a success or not?

That's normal practice after getting fixed to test to see if your clear. They tell you to use condoms until your have been tested.

Stay strong my friend. You’re doing the right thing and being especially considerate of everyone in need during these really trying times. Please stay well!

Why did you have your frenulum removed? I guess you were already circumcised.
