More to the point, look at circumcision rates for births done on private insurance. They've been cratering in the West for almost two decades now. How many Hispanic immigrants have private insurance? Forget that, even. What proportion of privately-insured births are Hispanic immigrants in the super-white Pacific Northwest? Because the circumcision rates for private insurance here are way below 50%. Some states (California included) even report statistics by race, making it more blindingly obvious that the race-only claim is untrue. It may be that something (e.g., shift to circumcision in private clinics) is confounding this comparison, but circin867, you're providing no proof of your argument at all. If "most parents wait to have circumcisions done in a week or two," it would not be possible for some Midwestern states to report rates in excess of 80%. Honestly, before you just find a thesis to latch on, at least think if it makes sense.
I don't understand the necessity of this completely unfounded explanations, as if it would make the practice ethically justifiable, as long as the only reason we're questioning it is those damn Mexicans...or something.
