I am going to get a circumcision soon what should I be expecting?

If you really want it, and gave it enough thought, then yes, I belive it is worth it. With a good surgeon and good care, the surgery and recovery period are very bearable. I personally had worse times at the dentist. The impact on pleasure was virtually non existent in my case and the psycholgical impact has been very positive since I had always contemplated about having it done.

If it is just a spur of the moment thing, are simply curious about it and have a functional uncut penis as it is, then I advise you to keep the foreskin. You may try keeping your skin permanently retracted if an always exposed head turns you on and make a decision after a few more months spent researching the matter.

I was 29 YO when I got my circumcision which was performed in a DR office in downtown LA. I did not feel anything except I knew someone was handling my penis, I did feel the first shot of what ever they used to give me local anesthesia during procedure. The recovery time seemed very short to me, I went back to work the next day. They gave me a few pain pill if I needed more than over the counter aspirin which I did not. I never use that stuff. I went back to see DR a few weeks later. The DR took a look and said it was healing nicely and call if I needed further attention. You are maybe making more out of it than it really is because it is your dick and that is understood by me. I over thought that as well. I don't know why you decided you want a circumcision but what ever the reason it is your decision. You ask for information and I gave you my experience. I am not trying to influence you one way or the other. This place is very one sided here on circumcision as you will see from some of the post you will have on this thread. I guess opinions are like assholes everybody has one! Good luck with your decision and if you so decide let us know how things worked for you.

Yes, the foreskin will be gone, which I have to admit was a fun implement to play with, but you gain hugely on other fronts. Personally, I have become vastly more confident with women, because I no longer experience the same moments of hesitation from them ("is he clean?"...), and the reassuring visuals give me tons of self confidence. It's a whole new world with women, I find - they see and trust. And I don't disappoint, either; without the skin, I have become able to penetrate much more assertively, and control myself better.

It will be important to get this done well though. I recommend you to find an absolute specialist, or better, plastic surgeon, to do this. You'll want a perfect cut line, and I think if I were to undergo this again, I'd insist on a clamp technique and the use of surgical glue instead of sutures.

Yes to circumcision, but just do your homework and get a good doctor. I didn't. Got a horrible circ scar now. Hate it.

I had it done. Wasn't bad at all. Morning erections were a little uncomfortable for a week or two but that was it. I'm happy being circumcised. Easier to use I think
