We have Italian Ice around here. Snow cones are paper cones of ground up ice with some flavor poured over the top, and Slush Puppies are a drink made with a liquid crushed ice mixed with different fruit flavors.

I think in the south they call them Slurpee&#39;s and on the west coast when I was growing up they were Hawaiian Ice.. before they settled on Icee&#39;s. I&#39;ve heard of them a lot.. the one thing that I am curious about though is and egg cream?? Nothing even called that in Georgia or Cali that I know of.

I&#39;ve had an egg cream in NYC before, but there is no egg in them. The explanation I was given is that when the soda water is added to it, it foams up like an egg white, hence the name. I&#39;m not sure if that&#39;s correct or not, but it is true.

We don&#39;t have egg creams down here in SC, either, nor have I seen them across the border in Charlotte, NC.

I&#39;ve seen Icees and Slurpees and Slush Puppies, before. We even have a chain of snow cone stands in my town, but they call them "Hawaiian Shave Ice". Yes, it&#39;s "shave" not shaved. Must be Pigin English.

I swear I&#39;ve seen Dr. Pepper Icees before. I know they have Mtn. Dew ones and I&#39;ve seen root beer ones, too. I only like the cherry ones, however. I just tend to be a traditionalist.
