Last year I went for the hood peircing and four weeks afterwards I took it out. If you do decide to do it, make sure you get an experienced person who has knowledge of hood peircing. And they have the proper jewlery item. The gal that did me claimed she knew what she was doing and put the right barbell in but she didn't. I had to purchase a bigger barbell and my husband had to help me swap it out. I found it very annoying because while it was healing I had to be careful what I wore because it would catch and hurt. I found it more of a bother than what it was worth.

I just wanted to update everyone I did go three days ago and get the vertical hood piercing. It was not as painful as I anticipated but still hurts. I will be posting pictures as soon as I figure out how to use my new camera and up load them on the computer. It didn’t hurt at all after it was done and healing is going well too.

It's what I tell my clients most of the time. Don't expect miracles. It is a lovely piercing none the less, but it's still a piercing, no more.

No, I'm mainly a modification artist (bodypiercing, among other things) and have been for nearly five years now, having worked and learned all over the world (the main reason why I travel so much, not the modeling). I'm actually quite well known in the industry ;-) Modeling is more of a hobby I wish I had more time for.

The only thing slightly comparable in piercings are just purely esthetics. Pain is in escense more of an emotional reaction to impulses, very personal to that effect. And so is pleasure. Sure, there are more sensitive places on the body to which eperience may teach us how a client might react, but it's not nearly as black and whte as some people might think.
