Who would replace Obama?

Not Hilary Clinton...and hopefully not Palin, lol.

I think he needs two terms really to get on top of things, and start reform (and repair after the Bush Presidency).

Who are these so called 'dozens of companies'? Evidence??? Links???

Do you guys ever have anything to offer other than fear and USDA Grade A bullshit?

I think he was paraphrasing the corporate types making such claims, without making it clear that is what he was doing... That's why his last sentence opposes the remarks before them.

It's not looking good when dozens of companies are coming out reporting that they may drop some of their healthcare coverage or pass on taxes to their employees.

That's only because the people running these companies are trying to protect their own profits. They're making more money than any of the employees they hire, but are willing to throw many of them off the ship just so they can maintain their lavish, indulgent lifestyles. It's not Health Care Reform that's causing the problems, it's the large companies & corporations who are refusing to make proper adjustments to the new changes in our economic climate.

Times are going to be tough all around. That means everyone needs to make adjustments and work together. Sadly, the mass majority of business owners and CEOs don't know what that truly means.

Obama is 1 year and 3 months in to his first term it may be not to soon for TrAnity' prognostications. Which you know are NEVER wrong.

Gallup has Obama currently sitting at 51% fav - 42% unfav.

Gallup Daily: Obama Job Approval

Hardly sounds like the approval rating of a "one termer" to me... lol
Traditionally, an incumbent needs anything north of a 47% approval rating in order to be re-elected. He's got to slip far and for a long time in order to be truly vulnerable. Also, Palin is so disliked that if she's the nominee Obama's approval could drop to about 44% and he'd still most likely beat her.

The only thing we have to worry about is whether Democrats have sufficiently learned how to push the most progressive elements of their agenda and forget about non-existent bi-partisanship.

The bigger question for me is...why are there four pages of posts even giving credence to such an inane thread. Without getting into the dynamics of polling in general, why would anyone waste energy debating any polling results, regardless of the source, of any politician one year into a four year term? The merits yes, but the polling results???

To be clear for those who might be interested to know, the Gallup daily tracker says 46-46, with 8% undecided.

Less than half the people in the country approve of Obama's job performance after passing his signature legislation. And 8% being unsure of him isn't a positive for in any way.

Even if that one poll were to be believed, he would only need to split the undecideds to get to 50% approval. Very safe territory for an incumbent. Especially one governing through hard times which were entirely inherited but for which he now bears responsibility.

Oh, and his numbers are exactly the same as those for Reagan at this point in his presidency.

It reminds me of those so called right wing Thinks Tanks like AEI, The Heritage Foundation, etc) that have been spectacular (deregulation, pre-emptive war, social security reform) wrong about so many things yet still has influence.

Again...why would anyone ever argue polls with anybody? MAYBE with polls taken within hours of an event, but even then...WHY?
