Hi,

I had slipped disk surgery a 3 weeks ago.
I am physically getting better, quickly.. except for my cock.
It is very depressing.

First of all, the foreskin near the top of my cock is constantly dry and it is actually painful to pull back the foreskin.. I've tried vaseline.. helps temp but it comes back.. Haven't asked the doctor yet.

And Secondly, which is really depressing.. it feels as though my cock isn't as big as it used to be when fully hard. I HOPE it will be something that heals.. I had a hirneated disk in my lower lumbar.. oh well. When I sit or lay down it is extremely difficult, even with VIAGRA and a blow job from my GF to get hard or feel any sensation.. it takes 4x as long to come.

I'll post the pic with the dry skin and for my own pride a pic of me when I believe my cock was its hardest.. (prolly 2 years ago)

Any ideas?

I suffered the same thing. An unspoken consequence of spinal surgery is the effect on post-operative erection strength, longevity and frequency.

Yikes! And they don't tell you that?!! :frown1: Sons 'a bitches!

Think I will stick to my back stretching exercises and use ice and drugs when it slips, thank you very much!

I was in a auto accident when I was 35. It was a bad one that nearly left me paralyzed from spinal damage. The surgery I underwent was not voluntary. It was emergency treatment done to save my life and I was unconscious through it all. I'm grateful I'm not in wheelchair now but there were still consequences to the emotional and physical trauma of the accident.

In the months following my release from the hospital I underwent sypmtoms similar to what you describe. No one warned me this might happen and it was frustrating. I questioned my doctor, and counselors, about it and their response was that male patients who undergo spinal trauma usually suffer some erectile dysfunction. When I pressed for more details about the severity and length of that dysfunction I got only muddled, non-commital answers about it depending on the patient and the severity of injury.

Suffice it to say I endured some frustrating and discouraging times. Did I regain sexual function? Happily, yes. Did I return to the level of virility I enjoyed before the accident. Sadly, no.

PM if you want more details.

I too slipped a disk when I was 22. I couldn't walk for 8 weeks and I was out of work for 8 months. too have nerve damage in my penis. I cant feel the left side of my penis and it also takes me a long tie to come. I will be 33 soon and it does efeect my sex life still. I take viagra though I dont need a high dose. I use 50s then split the pill, usually in three. But viagra also has a numbing effect which makes it harder to cum. So even though it makes me feel like i am 16. It becomes impossible to cum. I pleased to say that every girl I have been with scince the accident which I have been honest with has been totally supportive and I have mostly still had great sex. And to tell the truth, some times taking longer to cum could be a good benefit.

Wow. Well glad you recovered.
Me? In a nutshell I think when I started lifting heavy weight my trainer told me I used to lift more with my right than my left, and I had bad posture.
One year ago I was picking up a diaper (incorrectly) and it hurt. I went to ER with exruciating pain, they said nothing about an MRI, x-ray showed nothing, and me being ignorant listened. They said go to chiro, which I did. And I continued to excercise. All of 2008 I had pulsing pains in my legs when sitting down, and me, I thought it was from poor circulation, as it didnt happen when I stood or worked out. Didn't go to the doctor yet. 4 weeks ago I was touching my toes and the pain returned, pain level 2, went to doctor, they said nothing about MRI, and told me to do back excercised, and i went back to chiro. pain level 20 one morning i woke up and could hardly move. went to er, IMMENSE PAIN, and they finally did an MRI, the disk had moved out AND to the right, surgery was neccessary. oh well.

anyway, i hope i get my power back this will be really something else if not

I also awoke in bed with terrible back pains. Really bad. If it's any help, it was a chiropractor who helped me following my accident. I suspect his caring hands prevented my problem from getting even worse.

In the decade following the accident the nature of my physical activity changed. I had to give up some sports and try others. Since then I have run a marathon and done lots of physical things again. In some respects my health is better now at age 44 than it was before the accident.

Except in one area.

I'm not trying to discourage you by any means. Its possible my decline in virility is the result of more than just the accident and surgery. Aging, life stresses, circumstances, genetics, etc also contribute. But I can't deny there was a sharp dropoff in performance after the accident.

I hope you get yours back fast.

I'll be interested in hearing about your progress in the future.

Dudes,
Before you even consider the surgery you should try what helped me. I bought myself an Inversion Table for about $150 from Home shopping channel and have been about 99 percent pain free ever since.
I too stooped over picking up something and when I tried to straighten out I fell out with excrutiating pain. The orthopaedist told me he recommended surgery. I was scared shitless and told him I didnt want any surgery and asked for alternative recommendations. after some drug therapy failed we tried physical therapy. Best part of the physical therapy was the traction machine they hooked me up to. so when I saw this inversion table on tv one day I ordered it.
I quit the very expensive physical therapist the same week my inversion table was delivered and I havent regretted it. I also havent had much pain since.
It's welll worth the investment and could possibly save you from surgery.

try it fellas its a lifesaver!

I second the inversion table! I had a 10mm herniation in the L5S1 that required surgery back in 2002(?). Still have sciatic nerve issues. Three years ago it went wonky on me and I couldn't sit or stand without terrible pain - like level 9. I couldn't work, and all prognoses were indeterminate. It was so horrid that I seriously looked into pulling the plug. One of the premier ortho surgeons in the nation advised a combination fusion and artificial disk, but again no guarantees that the pain would be resolved or even helped.

Got an inversion table and OMG WTF!!! The damn thing actually worked! I had issues with pain radiating upward from an L4L5 bulge the 4 years previous that it completely resolved. The sciatic pain became managable and only acts up when I overdo it or when the weather does a drastic change. It was the best $100 I ever spent (Acadamy Sporting Goods). I can't begin to tell you the difference it made.
