From time to time, I hear some people on the board and a few in real life come up with some fairly baffling views about what sex is and what it isn't.

I'm talking specifically about the "sex = vaginal or anal sex only" brigade. This can lead to some really impressive cognitive dissonance on the topic. Particularly, when people claim oral sex isn't sex, despite the nomenclature (sex is in the title) and the fact that if it's fellatio, it's even a variety of penetrative sex.

In my opinion, anything involving physical sexual contact with another person's genitalia (which would include all forms of penetration and outercourse, particularly with the intent to orgasm) is sex.

What are your views on the topic?

For me, masturbation is sex and not a stopgap. In addition, I feel masturbation as a full-fledged sexual activity. Of course I want to continue masturbating, because I still have the greatest satisfaction. Each his own.:)
