Some guys seem to shave. When I was at Uni I shaved my balls and kept the rest trim. Same now actually. I think that alot of blokes do that.

with one college roomie, we started jacking off together on a fairly regular basis. just messing around. we would do jackoff contests too. the loser had to shave his pubes. we each lost at least once. he actually looked good completely shaved. i, on the other hand, looked like a plucked chicken - completely ridiculous.

...beats even the 10-blade Gillette razor that hasn't been invented yet.

He mentioned a lot of guys get their pubes zapped too, but I politely declined. I like it trimmed up there, but not shaved.

It seems to be the consensus.

I used to shave my chest only when I was younger (15 years ago) and doing some serious lifting. My fraternity brothers used to tease me about it, but it seemed to make my muscles pop, and the girls dug it. Now that I'm older, I don't bother with shaving. I've got more body hair now (and in more places), but I actually prefer it to being shaved. It seems more masculine to me. I may trim once in awhile when it looks unruly, and to keep my wife happy when I'm getting oral sex. I've seen the completely shaved guys in the communal showers and locker room and it just looks a little strange to me. They look like pre-pubescent boys rather than men. I have to admit that I've gotten lazier about keeping up the routine as well. When you get older you lose more hair up top, but seem to sprout it everywhere else on your body. Funny how things go. In the 70s-80s body hair was in. Then the 90's-early 00's shaving was in. In the last couple of years, I've noticed more young guys in the locker room & shower are starting to sport some body hair. Everything old is new again I guess. I hope the same holds true for communal showering, but that's another thread.

I shave it clean...however, when you say trim? What exactly do you mean by trimming it? I know you don't mean it's grown out. But do you shave it all but a little or what?

It depends....most of the guys today...of any sexual identity in frats...either groom (trim....but don't shave anything....and if they shave they only shave the sack...anything else looks to immature.) or leave it au natural.

Coach wanted us shaved for total freedom of movement plus our singlets were white so with sweat came a dark visual.

I coach now and I let my boys trim or shave their pubes, I have no opinion. I do ask they shave their bodies & pits.

I shave my balls and perineum and I trim the pubes above my dick. I also keep a tidy "treasure trail" haha! I've found that most guys around my age, especially fit jock types, that I've seen in the showers at my university keep it trim down below. Rarely have I seen anyone have it shaved completely though

before i shave my face, or anything i make sure my balls and shaft are clean shaven cuz it feels sweet to have a clean shaven sac, and just more comfortable when no hair is on the shaft. I trim the bush just to look finished and like i care bout my apperance down there. from what i see, it seems common for people to groom themselves, especially shaved balls and shaft.

Shaft shaven? Do you mean the hair that creeps down from the bush or the hair that grows on your shaft?

I just graduated from college almost a year ago. All of the guys there were either 'natural' or trimmed. At my college it was really a big thing to have a happy trail so there were a lot of hairy chests accompanying those trails too.

Same here....I trimmed and still do to this day. 29 now...

Shave your balls men but please.....leave a bush! It is just so wrong and horrible to look at a shaved crotch. Highly erotic to leave a little hair framing the goods.
Even women should shy away from shaving. Look at B/Spears last pic....that is enough to make a str8 man go gay. YUCK! I have NEVER seen anything as ugly as that.

Trim - I keep my pubes at about a quarter-inch or half inch. Once in a blue moon I'll shave my nads or shave the sides so I've got a little square-cut pathc above my dick, but otherwise just trim.

Takes too much time to manscape I think..

Hi - was a regular shaver for 6 years - recently, after reading some of the thoughts on other threads on same subject, I've decided to keep them trimmed and leave about 3/4" around the base of the dick.

No shaving, just cut the body hair down with a pair of scissors, so it looks better kept. Shaving always causes my skin to break out later with tons of acne. It then takes about 2 weeks for the acne to clear up. That bothers me because I look like I'm "roiding" as acne is a common indicator that a guy has started using roids (which I have never used in my life). By the time the acne clears up, the hair has started to grow again, so I'm back to square one again. I'm more embarrassed by the acne than I am by the body hair. Trimming with scissors cleans you up a little and you can avoid the acne problem.

I know the shaving/trimming thread is a few down, but the subject is a little different. In your college experience, did you find most straight frat/jock type guys to be trimmed, shaved, or 'au naturale'? What did the girls like better?

The laser solution doesn't save you money, it saves you time, razor cuts and burns. The result is far superior (smooth balls for months).

I was so excitied to get pubic hair in the 70's I never even thought of shaving it off. I remember seeing my first porno in 1974 (it was actually a film ran on a projector---talk about dating yourself) and both the man and the woman were so hairy down there that thinking about it today it really seems bizarre. About the time I was 30 I got more hair down there and it seemed to wrap itself around the edge of my jockey shorts and pull so I started to do a little trimming. Now I keep my chest hair and pubic hair about the same length and do shave my balls.

On topic: From what I've seen here, most young guys trim but not shave. Very rare to see "au naturel" here, but also rare to a guy without anything. Landing strips seem to be coming back into vogue, too ... hmmm ... makes me want to fly ...
