It's only self hate if he is being hateful but also calling out people for being hateful. Sounds to me that he just doesn't want to be around toxic ass people and that's not self hating tbh. Not wanting to be around toxic gays =/= not wanting to be around gays at all.

There are lots of just gross Armenian people that I don't want to be anywhere near but that doesn't make me any less proud to be Armenian and be around the good ones.

I accept myself just fine. What I don't accept is to be treated badly and I have only been treated badly by gay people. And that's the truth. So yes, until I see this community actually COME TOGETHER and be one. I will not be a part of such a toxic environment. So your assumptions are just that and there are no truths to your statement.
