Todd Glass recently - okay, it was in January! - came out as gay at the age of 48. He said his rationale for finally coming out had to do with the rise of teen suicides because of bullying.

I've always thought he was very cute. Good for him for stepping out of the shadows.

I've always thought he was very cute. Good for him for stepping out of the shadows.

Just curious (I know nothing about him). Was he actively closeted beforehand, or just never mentioned it? Not that it matters. I thinks it's always good when people come out. Especially if they're gay.

From the way it appears, close friends and family knew but he was never public about it. Since he wasn't a comedian at the high level like Dane Cook (not the he's any good!) or Kevin Hart, he was probably able to fly under the radar. The comedy circuit is a tough business and not always welcoming to gays, hence why so many have stayed in the closet for so long. I give him props for opening up. More and more celebrities, no matter if they are A-list or B-list, should realize that if they were to come out, young people would have more role models and realize that WE ARE EVERYWHERE!

big fan of his and his podcast and the epiode of WTF where he came out is a really great listen and a good insight into certain anxioties one can have in his situation and help for others
