Thank you! I was at a Bally's in Ft. Lauderdale and it was one of the nastiest places I'd ever seen...trolls hanging out by the showers, jacking off in the stalls...
It almost makes me ashamed to be gay.
Some guys/people confuse the concepts of gym and bathhouse (not that a bathhouse has to be dirty).
I have not been to Bally's there, but have been to another gym in town. This one was very clean and had lots of newer equipment: two cardio sections, free weights, various machines, and even a circuit machine room with aerobic space specifically designed with women in mind.
Now, I am a germaphobe, so I skip the bathroom at the gym unless I have to pee. I never shower there, so I can not say how that part of the gym was.
On the floor,
most guys were working out. Sure, there were some cruisy looks (which is to be expected) but no one was half-dressed, showing cock, etc. Hell, I was cutting my eye at some muscled men who were lifting. I try NOT to get caught or be disrespectful as you never know if a guy is gay or straight. It's common courtesy (to me at least).
Save that half-naked, sexual shit for the corner of the dark leather bar at midnight. At 6AM, I am trying to get my pump on.
Mind you -- showing off and rude cruising are not exclusively gay thing. At my home gym, the straight guys ogle viciously over the women wearing spandex, take off their top shirts when more girls are in the gym, etc. It's quite like watching dogs pant in the hot summer sun in a pathetic kind of way.
