It's really easy and it's so much better than buying the jar gravy or the dry package mix.

1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup flour
1 tsp sun dried tomato paste (they sell it in tubes like tooth paste
1 tsp Dijon mustard
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
4 cups beef stock
salt and black pepper to taste
In a sauce pan on medium heat melt the butter until it bubbles and starts to brown slightly, add the flour and make a roux and stir until it smells nutty. Remove from stove and whisk in the beef stock until it's smooth.
Return to stove and stir in the Worcestershire sauce and mustard and tomato paste and stir until the desired consistency is achieved. Salt and pepper to taste.
Enjoy!

Ah now I have the complete comfort food meatloaf recipe. Thanks!:biggrin1:

Creamy pasta - I make the sauce with onion, garlic, bacon/chicken, red capsicum, zucchini and peas, than add a healthy slug of cream. Develop flavours with paprika, cayenne powder, a little chicken stock and fresh parsley, and a generous cracking of black pepper on top.
