When I've done fancy dress in tight pants/shorts etc I've worn a thong so it generally looks better/tidier and few times a cricket box to smooth it out but a layer of sponge would be a good comfortable way to do that

Get a dancer belt. I have to all the time and it helps. Last thing you want is getting removed for indecent exposure due to vpl. Had a con employee call it "balognae pony" which was cringe worthy. Dancer belts create that bump you see all comic heroes have and is deemed acceptable. When youre packing theres not much you can do it feels like but it helps haha

I came here to suggest this too. This is what men wear on stage when they have to be in tights but don't want to distract the audience with their junk. Male ballerinas and other performers smooth shit out with one of these thingies.

but in all seriousness, dont show VPL man... When I need to hide my junk, I double up on underwear... 2 sets of briefs, on smaller that I usually wear... and the top one my usual pair... It feels bulky, but gives a good bulge, but hide all the lines that needs to be hidden...

Take a look at my egg poacher cup idea. In my pics.

Doesn't make it bigger or smaller, but kind of smoothens it so it won't be so creepy.
