Would you care to explain why you think this is a good thing.

I think 'HAHA YOUTUBE GOT OWNED!!' is a little unrevealing.

You claim to be in Canada and yet you comment like this effects you. What's with that?

Goes to school in Canada and right now I'm on my Co-op term in China.
and the reason i know its a good thing is because im proud my government/country, it has complete control over its people and the country

So what's wrong with Chinese colleges that you feel you have to get your education in Canada?

Or is it not like that?

I hope, while in college in Canada, that you don't look at anything on the internet that you think your government might see as unsuitable viewing for you. That would be most hypocritical of you. Perhaps you could write to them, give them your PC's IP address and see if they can do anything about monitoring your own internet access.

I came to Canada with my family when I was 10....
and hows looking at porn in Canada or even in China being hypocritical?
I'm proud of what my government CAN do and not what my government does. There is a different.

You dont happen to be Christian do ya?

Do Chinese people even have porn? Their government even looks down at simulated sex scenes in films.

I very much like China and almost everything chinese, starting with food and ending with the arts, inbetween there are a lot of things I like too.But I definitely don´t like the way the governement treats it´s people, mainly the poor who have nothing to say and still live like centuries ago.-I have been there and have seen it,and then in contrast the rich who live in the cities and have all the commodities of the western world. How can you utter so much crap, sitting sound and safe in Canada. You are too young, that´s for an excuse, grow up and learn as much as you can before you talk about things you don´t know anything about.!!

It's not that we look down on them, its the fact that in China there is no movie ratings for the films. So every film SHOULD be made for different age groups from 8 to 81.
In China the subject of sex is still a taboo at a young age, we are a couple of years behind the NA society.

    whoa easy there.....
thats the way of life as i see it, sure i am bias since i was not born in a poor family. however only the fittest can survive. Life is not fair and the government or ANYTHING can NOT make every1 happy. on top of that we have the largest population in the world, thus such a task IS impossible.

Only time can cure China of its partially inhuman behaviors toward the poor.

Who mentioned porn? Do you read newspapers online?

That makes no sense to me - you either support censorship or you don't.

Explain the relevance of the question and I'll answer it.

If that makes no sense to you then good luck to you, sister. However I will say it again just in case you missed anything the first time.

I am merely proud of what my government can do and not all the decisions my government has made.

    Hope you can understand.
    To Man-thango
I love an happy ending to a discussion/argument!

    Thank you my friend.

You ignore my other two questions and don't answer the one you respond to.

Do you support your governments censorship, are you proud of it, or not?

It isa simple question - I have made no value judgements here - i'm trying to understand where you are coming from. And so far I don't.

Well, that's sad for you, I certainly wouldn't be laughing if my government censored free community internet sites....I'd be on the streets protesting against the political leaders of my country shamefully alluding to western (capitalist) ideals whilst attempting to control the mindset of its people with censorship and fascist ideology.

China in my eyes is 'The Great Pretender'.

I for one, do not see this government as 'great' in any way shape or form.

I feel that it is honestly sad for the Chinese people and for you, that you apparantely exist at the whim of puppet masters who control your strings.

    You accept this?

ha that just shows the differences between communism and democracy, the government controls all thus when things need to be done they get it done fast and efficient.

THe CHinese government just spent 4 trillion US to help the CHINESE economy buy distributing it into companies of any sort to create jobs for everyone. AND an additional 2 trillion US on train tracks across the country to have them 4times faster than now. By the speed they are building right now, the entire railroad industry will be done upgrading by 2010.

you make it sound like a bad thing to be a mere follower of the puppet master. A great leader gets things done. There is no need to depend on a nation with an average iq of 98 (18th ranked in the world) to decide who their LEADER should be for the next 4 years!

"I have an university degree and you barelly graduated high school and we have the same amount of right to choose our leader? BUllshit"

So far China's made ALLL the right decisions during the worldwide recession. How? because the government has the money and ability to make a difference an make a difference quick.

I'm not saying communism is a good thing or bad, it all depends on the LEADER(s) and right now CHina's got a damn good one who knows what hes doing.

Just remember Hitler was elected by a fully, 100% democratic country.

    RIP George Carlin
