Hi.
So me and the missus just finished having coitus and the condom broke towards the end (it was on me, I was inside her and it just broke) this happened on Sunday as well as tonight. Why do they keep breaking? We bought 36 Magnums for about $30 altogether and thought they might be some cheap batch? I doubt I can burst through the end of a Magnum...any ideas?
NB: There was no air inside the condom, my girlfriend checks it every 20 seconds. We want to know why this is happening so often (condoms are supposed to be over 90% effective arent they?). Any help is greatly appreciated.
A few questions.
Have you ever used the same brand and type before, with NO problem?
Condoms usually have an expiration date. Have you checked the box what the expiration date is? (In general, I suggest to people when they can, to check expiration dates on all their condoms: generally, given an option, don't buy any box of condoms that are too close to their expiration dates; buy the freshest possible.)
Do you know the store where you bought these from? Do you know if they store the condoms properly, or not? If you're in a very warm climate, could
the condoms been stored in a spot in the store in which they could have been subjected to high, sustained heat? Or if cold climate, exposed to extreme, sustained cold temps? (Remember when tips about storing condoms, don't store them in the glove compartment of a car? some same principles.)
Others already suggested the lube (outside, and in) issue, which didn't pan out. Proper sizing was also brought up; this is the only other issue that I've heard that might explain condoms bursting: condom too small for the wearer.
BTW, now that you're getting the ReadyFit condoms, love to know what you'll do with the old condoms you can't use anymore. If they are possibly damaged, or defective, send them back to the manufacturer and see if you can get a partial refund for your box, or at least get fresh condoms you can give to someone you know who can wear them.
Good luck.
