I've never seen Titanic.

I have not watched Titanic either.

I read about the titanic, and summarised the film thus:
"It sank, she lived, he died."

After that, I just lost interest in the film. But I have been told the sets were detailed and elaborate.

Slumdog Millionaire
Titanic
High School Musical
Lord of the Rings 2 & 3

Lots of others. I find that I usually prefer the smaller, less well known movies I can find on DVD.

Never saw any of the Lord of the Rings trilogy. I hated the books growing up when I was forced to read them in school so had zero interest in the films. People seem to love them though.

Never saw them either. And when I tell people that, they always look appalled.

Using this as a measure of popularity: All-Time Worldwide Box Office

Any Harry Potter past the 4th one (not good with the order)
The Pirates of the Caribbean sequels
Spider-Man (none of them)
Ice Age (none of them)
Transformers (none of them)
The new Indiana Jones snuff film
The Da Vinci Bollocks

And of the "25 greatest": IMDb Top 250
Il buono, il brutto, il cattivo (The Good, the Bad and the Ugly)
Schindler's List (I know...)
12 Angry Men
One Flew Over the Cukoo's Nest
Casablanca
Shichinin no samurai (Seven Samurai)
Goodfellas
Rear Window
Psycho
Silence of the Lambs
Sunset Blvd.

I love Sergio Leone's work so much I am ashamed to have even one of his films up there :(

Jerry Maguire I refuse to watch anything with Tom Cruise in the cast.
Really? Why is that?

When I was younger I liked some of his stuff. However, after that interview with Matt Lauer in which he accused his host of being glib, what little affection or liking I may have had for him died. I haven't seen a movie of his since then. To my untrained eye it appeard he had a small psychotic break, where he professed to have studied the history of psychology and psychiatry and then lambasted Brooke Shield for taking anti-depressants for post-partum depression. :261: What little respect I may have held for him was gone after that.

Almost all of them!

I'm one of these people who only goes to a movie if someone else has the idea and invites me. On my 2 days off, I can usually be found at the beach, in my garden, in the kitchen cooking, or on my bike.

My cable service has a bundle with 16 movie channels, so almost all the movies that I see are on TV. The last movie that I saw at a theater was one of the Harry Potter films.

I never go to the movies unless they are either Chinese or Japanese films.
I'll see it on TV eventually plus I'd rather read.
C.B.:saevil:

Wow, I heard that Americans in general really hate watching foreign movies with subtitle. Can I ask what are your favorite Asian movies?

Precisely so. We've forumlated the identical opinion formed on our own observations of the egomaniac.

They never manage to avoid the iceberg, no matter how many times I watch it. :(

Ha Ha! I haven't seen "Titanic" either. But this quote reminds me of how every time I see "Romeo and Juliet", I hope it ends differently. :biggrin1:

I saw all of those except Star Wars and I walked out of Forrest Gump after 20 minutes!

Seen Star Wars several times. Unfortunately saw Forrest Gump all the way through. It has an ending that is one of my two pet peeves in movies. (Spoiler alert: the pet peeve is where either the main character or the main character's love interest gets a terminal disease and dies.)

You never saw Fight Club?! Dude you gotta see Fight Club!

Spoiler Alert: The boat hits an iceberg and sinks.

Rob_Just_Rob, Are you Canadian? Cause I don't think you're allowed to call your self an American if you haven't seen: The Godfather, The Philadelphia Story, and E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial.

I guess I'm only one-third American. :biggrin1: The only one of these movies I've seen is "E.T."

I don't know if it's just Americans that don't like subtitles. I think many people don't like to read while watching movies. I enjoy it and usually put on subtitles on any movie I am watching.

I have all of the Zatoichi series on dvd and also Hanzo The Razor. Cool flicks.

Have not seen: E.T., Schindlers List, Kill Bill, Big Lebowski- I have to see that one.

I'm a huge movie buff, so I tend to see a lot of films...at least good ones or ones that pique my interest. I have never seen the following, pretty much because I have no desire to see them:

All Harry Potter films
The Lord of the Rings Trilogy
Jerry Maguire
Gladiator
Brave Heart
Apocalypto
