I agree that the DIFFERENCES between us make us a work of art. There are beautiful small guys, and beautlful large guys. Conversely, there are ugly small and ugly large....

Do you guys REALLY believe this? I know we all WANT to believe it, we think it is the RIGHT thing to believe, because none of us can help what we were dealt, etc. And no decent guy is going to say something cruel about another guy's endowment. But I wonder if not saying something bad is the same as saying something good. I don't think we're wired to think that way. Do our differences make us all a work of art? Do you think that, in general, small-hung guys are going to be as successful in relationships or as confident, or considered attractive or sexy or manly as frequently, as well-hung men?

I think Freddie's right when he says it must be much worse for really small men:

And the poor adult guys with erections of less than three inches usually have a very serious complex...
The sad fact is that our differences do NOT make us all a work of art. The small man knows that no one wants to be like him physically--and that can be crushing to live with, all for something completely beyond his control. He might be admirable in many other ways; but not in this deeply fundamental component of his manhood.

I don't know. I hate the pain my unhung friend goes through. It's troubling, this "it's all good" stuff.

It's the wabi and the sabi.

If only that were true we'd all have a lot of friends who felt better about themselves. I don't think many really unhung guys feel like works of art appreciated for their imperfection, which is what wabi-sabi teaches. The crowds are all over at, ah, the other museum.

And that's the exact problem. Everyone expects someone to look perfect, almost mass-produced. (I always liked The Stepford Wives because one of the themes is that the perfect partner doesn't occur naturally, hence the mass production of wives.)

jon b, everyone expects someone to look perfect only if they have allowed themselves to be
deluged and submerged in popular cultural norms. BEAUTY IS STILL IN THE EYE OF THE BEHOLDER, but only if you resist the easy path of following popular model stereotypes.

I am Latino and am told I look Itallian, Arab or Greek. My prominent nose matches my prominent
penis. My flat feet did not contribute to my athletic prowess. I was a tall, skinny teen with low self-esteem and a big penis. Hence, what few props I received, along with what confidence it gave me, I owe to Panchote. This is how I acquired my nickname, T-Bone. My last name is a Mexican surname that begins with a T, and I had a big bone in the eyes of my p.e. classmates in
high school(the 70's).

It has always made getting naked in the gym locker room a validating experience for me. Even now, at 52, despite my nonstereotypical looks and even less traditional / orthodox philosophy of life. Maybe it's because of life in Santa Cruz, maybe it's because I rebelled as a hippie in the 70's, or maybe it's because i realized that a career as a schoolteacher would allow me to be myself.

In any event, it has all worked very well. I work very hard to show my young adult students in special education that uniqueness and specialness is a great gift, in whatever form or measurement you care to use.

I ve never seen a short guy walking around in the buff and taking his time. On the other hand, large guys walk around talk whistle a song while looking for their clean clothes to put on and never care about what's going on around. Isn't that confidence slash show off slash eat your guts out small guys? I am not huge, but not small in any way, i am usually bigger than most men in the locker rooms and yes i somehow feel confidence because it shows big and most guys notice. And even some of them are very well built much better body than mine. Yep size gives confidence and you don't have to show it off.

Size doesn't always give confidence. I'm average in size and of larger stature and have no problem walking around nude. Whereas my best bud who is shorter than me and bigger in the pants thinks he's small because he watches porn. My confidence comes from the fact that just because you may have a bigger dick than me doesn't mean I can't make you eat pavement seven days a week. Not that I would do such things.
