Conjoined twins happen when identical twins don't split apart as eggs. Identical twins are always the same sex, so you could never have male/female set of conjoined twins.

I think I saw a doco about them a few months back. Doesn't they control one side of the body each? I remember them saying it took forever to get the hang of cycling as they had trouble coordinating.
