    hahaha. i have long maintained that in a disastor scenario, i will immediately rob a 7-11 and jump the start the anarchy

    Heh...I saw someone in Houston last summer wearing a tee shirt with this witticism:

    I survived hurricane Katrina, and all I have to show for it is this 52" plasma TV.

    Yes, a TV you can't watch because the power is gone. Wouldn't tinned food be better?

    I've seen many "disater" films where they loot stores for electronic goods which are rendered useless. Seems comfort starts over survival in extreme situations, as if the government is mandated to restore electricity right away.

    Hmm. Hmm.

    Katrina was an extreme situation. People lost their heads. It happens all the time. It could be worse.
