Yes, a TV you can't watch because the power is gone. Wouldn't tinned food be better?

I've seen many "disater" films where they loot stores for electronic goods which are rendered useless. Seems comfort starts over survival in extreme situations, as if the government is mandated to restore electricity right away.

Hmm. Hmm.

Katrina was an extreme situation. People lost their heads. It happens all the time. It could be worse.
