My main point is that we don’t know. Nothing has been proven. And then you have people like Neil D.Tyson saying evolution is a fact. To me, evolving from a single cell to some species and then to another species is laughable. Minor evolution within a species is doable. But outright changing species is ridiculous, in my mind. And it all relates to coronavirus in that we’re being fed info that has never been proven. They skip so many steps.
Evolution is fact. It has shitloads of supporting evidence behind it. We know that humans are primates, and the first primates were arboreal and lemur like, we know those are descended from rodent like placental mammals, we know those in turn originally came from synapsids or mammal like reptiles. You see on my side of the argument, there's an overwhelming scientific consensus based on evidence. On your side, there's a bunch of embarassed evangelicals worried that their favourite mythological literature is being discredited (that's when they're not too busy asking for "seed" money from desperate cancer patients or claiming that rent boy in the photograph really was just there to carry their bags).
Just like with the corona virus, I put my confidence in the evidence gathered by professional scientists and not in a random youtuber with a go pro camera and some tin foil hat conspirancy. And I actually care enough about other members of my local community to avoid unwittingly passing on the virus to someone more vulnerable than me.
