My state in general and county in particular is seeing an big uptick in cases since the grand re-opening. Of course Governor Mc Smurf is denying it by claiming the media is falsely reporting a spike, much like he blamed everyone else for the unemployment shit-show. Don't really understand the need for a Phase 3 since everything seems to be open and at full capacity. Only thing I see that the next phase does away with is any social distancing and crowd size recommendations which is pointless since half the people I see haven't been following the fucking things anyway. Also says the older vulnerable residents have free reign so I goes they want them to be used to test the infection levels much like the radiation after a nuclear attack.

Went back to the gym. Didn't really want to but my body and fitness really can't take anymore of this and I will do what I can to stay away from the shoulder-to-shoulder primp and curl crowd that was packing the free weight area. All young bucks who obviously think they have super immunity or just don't care. Sure why not...be the instrument of your parents' or grandparents' death. Really starting to hate humanity...ok...even more than I did.

Despite this I'm not really worried about the inevitable second wave since a hurricane will likely wipe this dangly bit shaped state off the map before the winter. After Covid, then civil unrest, we really need a good old Cat 5 for the trifecta. I'm so pessimistic today...does it show?

that is/how i have felt re the UK'S mishandling of the entire situation,from the outset

take the pathetic non care of the all important 'care home elderly,and workers' for eg

personally been concentrating on following our regions Au/NZ progress

We just have to hold on to the reminder that they lost the popular vote and good sense will prevail at the next election.
Pretty much like our situation with Johnson getting a big majority in parliament with only 43% of the vote.

I'm convinced people just aren't trying anymore. The gym today looked like a total petri dish. Getting more crowded each time I go back. The wife and I were the only ones using a mask; though we're also the only ones over 30 it appeared, so...Generation Invincible seems to be the only ones returning. Staff was telling everyone to wipe off equipment...half the people ignoring them. But the real kicker was Mr. Manbun. We watch horrified as he sat on the machine coughing open-mouthed, then getting up and walking off without even pretending to clean it. Even worse was the next guy just flopped right down afterward like it was no big deal. Were told by the staff that apparently Mr. Manbun has been seen several times walking around coughing on people and never wiping down machines and yet, there he is...still allowed in.

Between this, the reports of bars having to close as soon as they opened due to employees testing positive and the wingnut rallies and conventions scheduled to come here, the governor, who can't wear a mask properly, should just hang out a sign saying: "Welcome Covid-19. Please enjoy your prolonged stay". Nothing more gives a better sneak peak at Second Wave then imagining a countless sea of Red Hats after paying homage to their orange idol, spreading out across the region like human incubators and infecting the other 70% of the masses because they are the party of "Pro-life".

Now I can't wait to go back to work tomorrow so I can endure all the looks like I got a conjoined twin growing out of my forehead because I choose to wear a mask.

People just aren't trying anymore.
