..it does not include nurses who suffer long term health problems from contracting the virus. Nor does it include the Doctors, Paramedics or others who die to keep the dream the Dandelions of the world have alive.
There arent many of them! Analysis I saw said medics fared no worse than most others in this epidemic. Problem with this virus is people are assuming it has hardly started and many many more might die. Whereas the evidence I see is that the bulk of the disease in the Uk is over.

In March government took advice to lock down because of advice that 2 million people would be admitted to hospital and half a million die. The reality was less than 100,000 admitted to hospital over several months (so not all at once as suggested) and around 50,000 died, most of them already old and sick and living in care homes. The predicted community epidemic DID NOT HAPPEN, AND HAS NEVER HAPPENED ANYWHERE AROUND THE WORLD. The number of deaths in care homes was to a very large extent dependent on how well these places took precautions, and therefore were preventable, but lockdown for everyone else didnt help them.

The action taken against covid was justified based on what it was feared it might do, not on what it does do. What it has done is a rather bad flu season, but not beyond what would be acceptable and would not justify all the measures taken. People are dying right now and will continue to die for years because of the economic cost which will mean in future they dont get treatment (because of the coming recession they wont have the money), and because they have not had treatment while all this goes on. It was a choice to take this slowly instead of quickly, but slowly increases both the death toll and economic cost all the time.

You don't get it........................do you...............If the virus were to be let loose, the system would not cope. Deaths would spiral up, and basically it would be like China did....leave their dead wrapped up outside their doors to be picked up and disposed of.....

You did not see that did you? I did....If I find it I'll send it to you. It was smuggled out of China in the early days.

Wake up to yourself. You are of the herd mentality..right?....Well the majority of the herd think you are not worth the effort in resource if you need medical attention.

You really would garner more support on the Daily Mail website. Try qualm-peddling to them.

4,000 People Died From COVID-19 While The RNC Pretended The Pandemic Is Over | HuffPost
.
The novel coronavirus pandemic claimed another 1,116 American lives on Thursday, as Republicans brought a close to a national convention most notable for their repeated insistence that the pandemic is a thing of the past.

For four nights, the GOP largely ignored that a virus most other countries have brought under control is still spreading across the United States rapidly, as if a modest decline from July’s peak in daily case numbers is a reason to celebrate and the deaths of more than 180,000 people here are nothing to mourn.

Across the country, at least 4,024 Americans died from COVID-19 during the four-day Republican National Convention this week, according to Johns Hopkins University.

The total number of deaths rose from 176,800 on Sunday, the day before the convention opened, to 180,824 by the time it ended. Put another way: The U.S. lost more lives to COVID-19 during the RNC than it did in the 9/11 terrorist attacks. The number of deaths in the United States over that period exceeded the number of new infections in Canada.

Donald Trump and the GOP, however, acted as if the fight against the virus is over and that he can be credited with winning it.

This will go well:

Administration officials at the University of Alabama reportedly have ordered the school’s professors to keep quiet about the coronavirus amid an outbreak that infected more than 500 students during the first week of classes.
“Do not tell the rest of the class,” the email reads, with the word “not” underlined, the Beast reported.

Face masks and social distancing, the email states, would mitigate any exposure risk if infected students were actually in the classroom. The memo also warned faculty not to post anything about the matter on social media, claiming that would violate federal privacy laws, the Beast reported.

The state’s flagship school in Tuscaloosa reported 531 confirmed cases among students, faculty and staff since classes resumed last week, according to an online COVID-19 dashboard that was unveiled Monday.

University of Alabama orders faculty to keep quiet about outbreak

Faculty in multiple departments said they received emails this week telling them not to discuss the situation in classrooms and to keep students in the dark if they became aware of anyone contracting the virus, according to an exclusive report by The Daily Beast.

The 180,000 Covid-19 deaths have been in the U.S. alone. The numbers you quote for flu deaths are wildly inflated, even for the entire world.

So it's not just apples and oranges. It's apples and fake oranges.

What is the global incidence of influenza?

In its course, the H1N1 Swine Flu pandemic, according to the CDC, caused something in the vicinity of 300,000 deaths, plus or minus.

The seasonal FLU INFECTS 30 MILLION every year and KILLS 500,000 to 1,500,000 ... do you wear a mask ?
The WHO estimates that roughly 375,000 people die annually of seasonal flu.

2020 CORONA 19 flu INFECTED 6 MILLION and killed a measly 180,000 .... WEAR A MASK YOU SLAVES !!!
Johns Hopkins says that at least 837,000 deaths have occurred thus far in more than 188 countries and territories.
But of course, the pandemic has by no means run its course. In India and Brazil and other countries, the numbers of deaths are going to mount for some time.
Even in the U.S., though the death rate is falling slowly, the disease is continuing to spread — and who knows what will happen in the fall when temperatures drop and the flu season begins again. We already see many outbreaks in colleges and universities where students have returned to face-to-face lectures.
And then one has to consider that Covid-19 carries with it tremendous morbidity. Many people who are infected and don't die will live for some time with significant degradation of their quality of life, including cardiac issues, severe damage to the lungs, and so forth.
You obviously have next to no information on any of this. (You're probably intuitive, like your president.)

Did I wear a mask during those two earlier epidemics? No. Why? Because the threat from those epidemics was considerably less and there was no consensus among pandemic specialists that mask-wearing was called for.
Do I wear a mask now? Yes. Why? Because this epidemic is clearly more severe and the advice from medical specialists has changed.

Wearing the mask, so far, has not killed me. It will not kill you, either.
Some observers suggest that 40 to 50 percent of Covid-19 deaths could be avoided if 95 percent of the population wore masks.
That won't happen, and I know that. But the point is that mask wearing can stop some deaths, and for me, that is enough.

If you feel your manhood is compromised by wearing a mask, or your commitment to liberty is made conditional — I feel sorry for you.
Life is more important than virtually anything else.
To be sure, I would be willing to die to oppose certain compromises of my freedom.
But to avoid wearing a mask? For a short time? In a time of epidemic?
That's not a gopher hill I wish to die on.
Sorry.
