I love CS! I´ve had hosted a lot (as Norway is an insanely expensive country), but also surfed a bit when traveling.
Great way to meet others!

Go for it. Couchsurfing is a great experience. I've been hosting for about 10 years but have never had the change to be a guest. I'm also on AirBnB, which is a pay to stay site. I have a long term guest coming via AirBnB which is perfect for the summer.

Get registered on CS and get started. Read hosts profiles and references before you go and decide you more closely matches you and your likes. Nudists and those wanting to explore that lifestyle stay with nudists, for example. I've had several who tried it and enjoyed it and I can very honestly say that in 10 years I've only had intimate time with only three guys. So it's not always about sex!!

I belong to CS, a great way to learn about people places and things. Never had sex with any of them, some I wish! I have never felt unsafe in my own home, I have also invited some to stay longer. So many neat people out there. You learn to be wise with Couch Surfers when you get a request. Well worth it!

Wow, I never heard of any of this before. I head a large volunteer group in Florida, and I'm constantly putting up folks at my house, mostly kids, but I've had some adult volunteers over as well. I'm going to give some thought about hosting on Couchsurfing.com. Sounds like fun!

I tried to use couch surfers before, but my host made me feel bad because I had nothing of value to offer, so I deleted my account and started using airbnb. It's still pretty cheap, although free would be best.

I started hosting on Couchsurfing but switched to Airbnb. I don't really like the format of Couchsurfing; hosting for free implies some other exchange of goods. Now, don't get me wrong, I have an unusual space that encourages interaction in a sex positive environment, but I don't always feel like being the entertainment. I made a few friends through Couchsurfing that I still keep up with and I still maintain a profile, but I much prefer paying guests and allowing the interaction to happen without expectation. That said, I'm always open to hosting guys from this site.

I've hosted a dozen or so people through Couchsurfing when I lived in Chicago and in Shanghai. The only guest I had sex with was a Chinese guy from Canada when I lived in Shanghai.

I had a Croatian ex girlfriend (not an ex at this time) who used couch surfing when she wanted to travel and yes she did have sex a few times with the men (and one woman) she stopped over with. Like any time two people are alone together, they might have sex. It depends on the people. She was always very sexually free and even when she was in a relationship she made herself available.
I don't think couch surfing is a site that people use for sex though and I think she was a rare exception

I have hosted many younger people traveling Europe on a shoe string budget. Everyone of them have been very very cool - especially the very first.

I'm wondering if anyone else has done this and IF anything ever happened?? I'm a bit shy believe it or not to start something although I came damn close with the first guy who claimed to be straight. He didn't mind staying in his very loose boxers all the time and once he came to the gym with me and I noticed he was totally shaved smooth.

Has anyone tried Couch Surfing and if so, please tell us how it went.
