Geez, I forgot I even posted that. I’m not even a cougar anymore! I’m a Jaguar! Rawwwr! Watch for the sleek lines and sharp claws, gentlemen!

I have heard that for the ultimate driving experience, one must take a Jaguar out on the open road ; and let her purrrrrr
LaFemme, your lines and curves surely outclass, even such a fine automobile

According to Urban Dictionary:
Age 18-21: Wildcat
Age 22-29: Lynx
Age 30-39: Puma
Age 40-49: Cougar
Age 50-59: Jaguar
Age 60-68: Panther
Age 69: Pussycat
Age 70-79: Cheetah
Age 80-89: Leopard
Age 90-99: Tiger
Age 100+: Lion
So, there is your feline scale!
Personally, I’d rather date a younger man because men my age feel that they need to educate me. Sorr, but I already know how to drive, cook and otherwise look after myself. Please don’t tell me how to do stuff unless I ask your advice. I would probably go no younger than 15 years. Makes him mature but not super into “traditional” roles.
Then again, I’m not interested in dating at all, so ‘tis all moot. :p
I guess modern society really likes its labels. And here I thought that it's more about the age difference, than any specific age.
Thank you, @LaFemme , for sharing this.
I always felt that the term is more about which partner is more of the pursuer? If a younger guy seduces or pursues an older woman, I wouldn't consider that woman to be a cougar (a la Keanu Reeves and Diane Keaton in Something's Gotta Give).
