Actually - the moisture content of snow varies depending on how much moisture is in the atmospheric disturbance in question. You can tell by the size/type of the flakes.

The big wet flakes...probably close to 6"/1" or 7/1.
The dry stuff that doesn't stick to anything - 12/1 or so.

And as any regular British Rail commuter can tell you, the 'wrong kind of snow' can cause you all types of problems!

(I know that this'll go over the heads of 95% of people, but never mind - hopefully the long-suffering 5% will appreciate it!)

So that little propeller is some kind of wind guage...? You northern tier guys certainly are the fashion plates...what with your hats and all that thermal underwear (from the other thread)! Can I rethink the "hip" comment...? :D
