Dr. Kavoussi in Austin performs this surgery and at a pretty far price I believe. It is for an over active cremaster muscle and the success rates are very good. My question is has anyone ever had this done and if so what was the post surgery like? Did the results accomplish what you were wanting and did it stop the pain in the groin?

Thanks

I thought there were a few guys on here that had this surgery done? I have read online what the surgery does, but really trying to find information on what I can expect after the surgery?

You might want to look at BOTOX injected into the Cremaster Muscle. It makes the retraction of the testicle stop pulling up. This needs to be done about every 4 weeks, but over time The multiple doses of botox seem to stop the Cremaster pulling up.

I suggest you search internet for botox cremaster and find out more about this procedure. It may work better at less cost.

I have already tried the scrotox thing twice with no luck either time. When speaking to Dr. Kavoussi he explained that if the botox is not injected directly into the cremaster muscle then it has no chance of working to the full effect. I tried two different places to get the scrotox done and neither of them injected it into the cremaster as far as I could tell.

I had the surgery on Tuesday and everything went really well. Now just to heal and see what the results in a couple of weeks. The price to get the surgery was right at 3500.00, I figured that was basically 1 year of scrotox if it would even work.

Curious how things are a year later after you had your cremaster muscle reflex surgery done? Are things better?

What was the surgery like? How long till you could return to somewhat normal daily functioning?
How long total recovery time? Did they do it under a local anesthesia?

The surgery was easy as I was put under with local anesthesia. I returned to daily life about 3 days later, but did everything for myself right after surgery. I just swelled up a little more while up and walking. Laying down in bed with ice is key. With in a week it was like nothing happened.

Do they resist pulling upward in the cold?
