I think a lot of guys measure differently as well. Some may measure from underneath, some may push the ruler into their pubic region in order to make the measurement longer, etc. I agree with Subgirrl in that a trained group of nurses should do it in a study so that all of them are measured the same. It's difficult for me to sometimes believe it's only 5.5" as well since the majority of penis I encounter is usually about 7" if I had to take a guess. From there, I usually find larger than smaller ones. Subgirrl may be right about confidence. It's not like I always know what they have before I find out for myself. I tend to be straightforward and ask though. I like to know what I'm getting myself into lol.

That's silly criteria, as the length from cock to navel isn't at all consistent from person to person.

Same with hand size, you can have huge hands, the next guy can have small hands and it'll change it drastically.

I am a walking example of how this criteria is incorrect.

My dick is fairly long, but its set lower on my groin than a normal person, so it barely reaches my belly button; however, if my dick were set in the same place as everyone elses, my dick would be well above my belly button.

And my hands are incredibly small but I have a bigger dick than anyone I've ever met with bigger hands than me.

One dude I knew was like six and a half feet tall with giant hands and he had a tiny dick.

I'm not looking down on people for having smaller penises, just saying all of these rules and myths are wrong. Not all of them, but most of them.

I would say anything above 6.5 in length and 4.5 in gith is above average, and since average would be considered medium, anything above that could be considered large.

Personal averages are different though; someone might have fucked nothing but nine inches+ so an 8 could seem small.

I believe that's at least 2 standard deviations from normal on both length and girth, so I would refer to that as "very large" or "huge", personally.

Well, it is easier to believe when you look at an actual ruler, see (and experience) lots of cocks, and understand that, as far as penises, measurements and comparisons go, many people falsely understand their thumbs to be 6" long.

^^ LOL Hilarious! first of all, what is big is going to always be subjective to the indivdual, depending on their sexual history. Im 7x5 and when women see my package, visually they say "wow that must be 9 inches." Women tend to exaggerate a lot when it comes to size, as do men not measuring right and ridiculously rounding up.

The quarter test is the best test. If you can put 7 quarters on your dick with no over lapping, then its almost at 7 inches. If your dick head still goes past a lil, then its 7 inches, 8 quarters is close to 8. Both cases close enough to round up.

Most of these porn stars are 7-8 inches, with the exception of mandingo who is probably 9.

The view we have of our own penises is top down. There is some foreshortening from that view that makes it look smaller than it is.

The other guys you have seen you saw from different angles, not just the top. So you have a more accurate view of their size than you have of your own size. They could be the same size as you, but you would still think they were bigger.

My own research, asking women and reading articles; I made all the calculations myself. What would you say the average length and girth is in that case? Exactly 5.1x4.4? I think so. Also make sure you read everything in the picture, it is a little blurry just zoom in though.

Totally genuine, just trying to explain why everybody else's dick looks bigger than yours, even though yours may be the same size or bigger.
