joeyeight.....it's nice to have you with us!
I've always thought we needed more members with "expertise" from having studied sexuality and/or various related medical fields relating to this forum's subject area! Your comments make perfect sense. As one of the older members here, and a member who goes back over THREE years or so with the LPSG (btw, I had to "re-register" in 2002 which is why THAT appears in my profile info) I have seen our community of members grow and the "focus" of our discussions change considerably over time...particularly of late when we seem to be shifting from helping and advising to bragging and ogling. --Oh well.
My own reading and research indicates a typical amount of ejaculate is said to be near a teaspoon but it's possible (and I sincerely believe) that some of us can exceed that. Like you joeyeight, I have to question though, the "extreme" volumes we tend to hear about here. I don't care to debate anyone about it. What would be the use?
Years and years ago now, when I was wondering about my own volume and how it compared to the "norm", I didn't want to collect "my sample" in an actual teaspoon, so instead, I just filled a teaspoon with water and poured it on the kitchen counter. I looked at it and figured if THAT amount would indeed approximately compare? It sure seemed pretty close (most of the time). Sure, there have been occasions when MORE was the case for me but it often depended upon either a period abstinence for a few days (to build up a reserve) or an unusally intense arousal. I started noticing a somewhat less amount of ejaculate produced when I hit my mid- forties
but things indeed have improved with my adding a few nutritional supps--Zinc among them!
Realistically speaking, I think the semen amount for any given man would have to vary from time to time as this is a bodily function we're considering here and not a regimented "machine" that's cranking it out by some pre-determined / designated automated setting. I would like to see us here keep the reported amounts "reasonable" and not lead anyone into thinking a human male is going to produce say a gallon of semen at any one given instance...no matter how "big" he (purportedly) is!
