I first found out about Curt McDowell in a Notorius, Trashy and sadly quite Camp Film called "THUNDERCRACK", made around 1978.
To call this Film 'Underground' would be an understatement.
I was lucky enough to get to see it at an equally Sleazy Flea-Pit in London's Kings Cross, called the "SCALA CINEMA".
The Film is pure entertainment of the extreme kind. I'd recommend it to any Depraved Individual.
Along with George Kucher, the other protaganist behind "Thundercrack". Curt McDowell was a Filmaker who seemed to make a lot of very low budget short films.
One film Curt McDowell went on to make, was a Film called "LOADS". Shot in black and white. This was essentially an intelligent Porn Film, based on a strong idea.
Both Films should be checked out.
