Curvy and petite is the way to go

LOL, I'm 5'7 the only thing petite on me are my fingers and toes:tongue: The older I get the more I wish I were taller so I could reach the aggraviating stuff in the top of the cabinets or shelves without a chair.

I think curvy vs skinny is going to be a subjective opinion. Different people are going to like different body types. Working on being happy with ones self is the way to be instead of worrying about whether or not other people like the way we look.

I used to do a lot of stupid things to try to fit into what I thought was the standard of feminine beauty. Now I've realized I'm beautiful and perfect just the way I am. Everyone should feel that way about themselves.

Just want to point out that one doesn't have to "put down" one side in order to prefer the other side. I am 6 feet tall and a size 6, but my bones neither poke out nor cut anyone when they embrace me. I am also not undernourished or constantly hungry.

Just venting...

I have been both. I was 5'6" and 111 pounds when I lost my virginity. Now I'm curvy with 38G breasts. The only difference is the men. Before I met men who wanted to fuck and toss aside a skinny chick now I meet men who want to fuck and toss aside a chick with a 38G rack. So it really makes no difference to me whether I am skinny or curvy.

Sorry to break the trend, I know i'm in the minority... but Its skinny girls for me. Don't get me wrong curvy girls are attractive too.

Skinny girls are a TOTAL turn-on for me, I generally go for UK sizes 6/8/10. Seeing the bottom of a girls ribs and the top of her pelvis protruding slightly is mega hot.

Some girls that are these sizes are not always boney anyway, and are still just as hot.

Hi guys, I know I have been away for a while but once again my curiousity has brought me back.
As you can see there is a big weight issue for women, we think guys won't like us unless we are skinny and have flat tummys but I'm tired taking things from what I read on magazines, I want to address this to all the guys out there (and women if you are lesbian).

What kind of woman would you prefer in terms of appearance? A skinny woman like in the movies or a curvier woman?

I'm having trouble understanding what defines a skinny woman or a curvy woman according to this question.

You seem to be implying that in order to be skinny you must have a flat tummy. Where does that put girls who are well-endowed in their chest and butt, but also have flat stomachs? It seems to me, that the girl posted in the pics above me (Coco) would fall into the skinny category because she has a flat tummy even though she clearly has curves.

All things considered, I prefer a skinny woman with curves in the right places. However, there are always exceptions as the girl I was most attracted to in my life in person didn't have a flat stomach.

Yes I know it wasn't specific enough but like I told the other girl,

I think in this sense, curvy means anything that isn't stick figure. So I guess if your curves are in your butt, boobs, arms, hips, thighs, or tummy, it doesn't really matter. I guess it just means a size that doesn't show your bones. I didn't make the question specific to what type of curvy women because the point of the question is if all guys really want only the girls that are on the telly.

So it's not just about flat tummy, it's about curves, anywhere. It can be just on the bum and hips, or tummy or thighs, etc. Just anything that wasn't....'stick figure' or 'shapeless'.. I guess.

Alx, do not feel bad about this at all. All women are beautiful and if this is your preference then that is great! Thank you for the input. :)

I'm sorry if any of the posts offended you but you have to take this thread with a pinch of salt... everyone has their own preferences and I really just wanted people to be honest with how they saw it. I also said in my first post:

P.S I am not stating that one could be better than the other, all women in my opinion are beautiful!

There are plenty of guys who love women like you, and love all kinds of different women. Don't feel any less beautiful.

:)

Well then I guess I'm going to have to disagree with the initial notion that the media or magazines pushes the idea that a "stick figure" girl is more preferable than one with curves. If you look at any magazine designed to appeal towards men (FHM, Maxim, Playboy, etc) or even top 100 lists (like askmen.com) you rarely will find "stick figure" girls on the cover or the list, but will find the vast majority of the girls are thin/skinny with curves.

Maybe on those magazines that men read there might be a few women who have curves, but mind you most of that is edited and airbrushed.. you won't find average women looking like that when you're just walking down the street. And like I said, you will find that on the magzines that *men* read, the things that women are exposed to in magazines are "How to lose 10lb for a flat tummy in the summer!" and in those pictures you don't see girls with curves and breasts and ass. You see ribs and the pelvic bones very defined. Women have to read about how one celebrity GAINED 5 POUNDS, God forbid, and is now at their 'worst state'. In movies and films, adverts, the girls on there aren't voluptuous at all or 'real' looking. They are edited and they have dieted.
So yes, maybe in a few magazines for men there are women who are very well endowed in their breasts or they are photographed in a very feminine way to show off curves they don't naturally have (e.g arched back). The media plays a lot of tricks on peoples minds. But this is just the way I see it, the fact that you as a man don't see this is exactly what makes girls anxious about their bodies.
Curvy women doesn't just mean skinny women with some hip definition, it means normal average women, some might be thicker.

Could you not post some jpeg images for what you consider, skinny/curvy/voluptuous and what you would consider normal/average?

If the question is really that confusing, it would be easier if you guys posted pictures of what you prefer like dougielongfellow lol.

Are you serious? Your body is STUNNING!!!
Wow! Thank you! I've always been surprised with the compliments I get here because I never get them in real life!

see, i'd classify you as skinny. not bad skinny or sick skinny. healthy-looking, but still thin.

curvy....cece...you are about perfect....but if you were my girl i would probably fatten you up just a bit.....
That's the funny thing - I am actually considered fat because my BMI is slightly in the "overweight" range. From a health stand point, I am actually trying to lose some weight and get it back to within a healthy BMI. I perceive myself as fat and I know I am based on my BMI, but it's interesting to see that people perceive me differently. Maybe I just do hide my fat really well!:biggrin1:

Anyway, according to what's been discussed here already, it's interesting to see that the definition of skinny and curvy among different people can be as varied as day and night!

Lol, you are not fat you silly girl. All that weight you see on that scale is probably mostly from your breasts :biggrin1:
Seriously though, numbers don't mean anything and you saying you are 'fat' is insulting to the people out there who are limited in doing the things they love because of their weight. You are average and I don't know about your photography but you look thin to me.

Please remember that weight doesn't have solely to do with what you eat and how you live, you got your DNA off your mother and father and they will have all kinds of history with weight going on. There are some women who are naturally just thicker.. from DNA, slow metabolism, etc, and they could eat healthier than a fitness instructor, they could exercise and everything.. it's just the way it is sometimes. So don't listen to 'BMI'.

Curvy is womanly and (funnily enough) a natural shape for the majority of women. Most women aren't meant to be skinny. They're supposed to have front and back; tits and hips. Conveniently, that's the stuff that turns me on.

Of course the best thing about curvy women is they usually have big tits. Tits FTW.

Some examples of curvy beauties:

I'm fully aware that there is this sense in the female community that the media pushes this "stick thin" body is ideal. I'll be honest and say I've never understood this notion and not even sure I agree that's the case, but obviously I'm saying that as a man and not a woman.

I'd just add as I did before that media that features women with the intention to appeal towards men is a better indicator of what men want than media designed to appeal towards women.
