Longer≠better. Killer whales and wolves tend to live longer in captivity; and it wrecks havok upon their psychological and physiological being.
I don't think the human species would also benefit from such a narrowing of genetic diversity nor do I see the positive societal benefits of increasing the already rising percentage of sexually irrelevant men.

But, what if you wait until you are 70 and mostly impotent anyway? Can you buy some additional years by getting castrated at that point?

Probably not.

But the issue here goes beyond virility. We know that hysterectomies can reduce or eliminate the chance of certain cancers but HRT can also increase the chance of cancer.

Eliminate the testicles and you will have to do HRt which may negate the benefits of castration to begin with...

This study is great but still too soon to apply it to humans.

Cut your balls off, you bleed to death, and it hurts. Guys, just stick to a basic circumcision. You'll look better, feel better, smell better, and the girls love it.
What does this have to do with the original topic?

Just sayin' that if the topic is living longer after you chop off you knuts, I would tend to disagree. I think if you have yourself gelded, you just might die sooner, in a gory mess. SO, if you have to bleed to live longer, 90% of the US male population can't be wrong. Perhaps we won't live AS long as we would castrated, that little snip just might add a few years. Look at the real numbers, American men are definitely living much longer than we used to. Definitely has to be that circ we got as kids.

Who cares how long you live. It is like dicks. It is less about the length and more about how well you use it. What would your quality of life be without your balls? Do you know the hormonal changes this would cause, or the medical issues?

Everyone in the world is living longer, not just Americans. Heck, Japanese ppl live the longest and they dont get circumcised. Your logic is flawed.

Koreans live longer than Japanese men. And the Korean women are more fanatical about getting their men circumcised than we are in the US. I rest my case. The longer the foreskin, the shorter the lifespan. Fact.
WHO data says otherwise across the past 20 years: GHO | By category | Life expectancy and Healthy life expectancy - Data by country

Please take your circumcision fetishism elsewhere. You have no scientific basis to be making these claims and while I concede there are some marginal health benefits to being circumcised (and I am a happily circumcised male myself), the impact of the procedure over life expectancy is trivial at best given how many more other factors feed into the longevity equation.

Just like the "my cock is too small" topics bring out the SPH'ers... Cutting the nuts brings out the circumcision fetishists.
So really the topic will and should turn into "Living longer"... And that topic has no finish line. Touche OP...

Now... Choices for living longer... Nuts first? Nope.

I also see past the Trojan horse of "living longer" as filled with answers to how we glean production, resources, and stability out of men en masse while usurping their classic(and not all that unreasonable) requests for sexual access and procreation.
Considering what respective percentages of male and female humans have procreated throughout our history, it just seems like a euphemistically opportune way to write off a population of men that were doomed to selectivity anyways, without ever having to explore, unpack, and perhaps usurp said selectivity, and its justifications in this modern and supposedly progressive age.

Male and female genital mutilation is unacceptable. Generalizations like this are dangerous. Take your circumcision fetish somewhere else.
