i suspect they have various rules about how much can be shown while on set vs shooting from home.

Ian did a toilet scene in the KFC video and it was the exact same bathroom set. Hopefully, Damien gives us some skin for his next toilet scene. Really wanna see Shayne do more tho.

So....what you are saying is that what you WANT is he wouldn't object. You never said he wouldn't object but that you THINK he would not object. So you don't really know if he would and he's never said anything or done anything official.
We all know by now that Damien doesn't show skin, hence why this thread looses their minds when we see a slight bulge shot. Damien isn't (actually) sexual on Smosh. I wish he was but it doesn't change the reality of him being very uncomfortable with stuff like that.
I guess it's not fair to over generalize. There are some good try not to laughs and not all of the old smosh content was successful.
It just lately seems like nothing good is coming out from Smosh.
its because they haven't changed enough. what they're doing worked for a while but kids dont wanna watch this type of content anymore. I'd say:
1.) stop trying to appeal to kids
2.) go full adult humor
3.) get younger people like 18 to 26 year olds
4.) get a better setup for twitch streams bc it feels very impersonal and too professional
5.) HOP.ON.TRENDS.FASTER
6.) stop focusing so much on skit comedy...its dead.

I agree, they've been in a rut for the last year and a half or so, but I think they've been improving since they stopped letting Sarah and that scumbag Matt Raub think they were on screen talent.
Literally they just need to change up their style. Trends ARE focused on kids so either you want to appeal to kids or not. Plus why do they need younger people, once again bringing in younger people is appealing to younger people yet you don't want them to.
Clearly you didn’t hear the podcast where Sarah said that she was leaving.. in that podcast, the team themselves begged her to come back after she quit smosh when the whole defy thing happened. She picked up a lot of the responsibilities during that time and was on screen because they didn’t have enough people and segments at that time.. then when people liked seeing them, they stayed around.
also why is Matt Raub enemy #1 here? Did I miss something?
You clearly haven't been around for the past year when it came out that Matt Raub has bad mouthed the original Smosh games crew, and Sohinki said that he wouldn't go back to Smosh games unless he left. Pretty much Matt Raub is a horrible boss that has WAY to much power. It was all over reddit when it came out last year.
It was a huge thing that just got swept under the rug by smosh and their hard core fans.
