I was never a huge Bond fan. Used to watch it in the Roger Moore days. You can shoot me, but I don't think I ever saw any Sean Connery, though I understand that several people view him as THE James Bond. As I got older, I became more interested in spy/action films, but wasn't interested in any of the other Bonds (Pierce Brosnan, Timothy Dalton). Funny, I don't recall hearing much about the films during their time.
The other day, I'm watching TV (which I rarely do) and see a trailer for the NEW Casino Royale. WOOF! This guy is hot! I don't care if he's hung or not, I can stare at his body, face, and those eyes for hours on end. He's not the most beautiful face in the world, but his face is so unconventionally cute at times, dangerous at others that I find it's appeal more of an endless erotic curiosity. He seems more like what I would expect a Bond to be (admitedly not seasoned, here); rugged, dangerous, accidentally debonair (sp?), drawing women in more by his mysterious/dangerous air than his trained refinements. I actually can't wait to see it.
Oh yes, the first film I saw him in was 'Elizabeth' with Cate Blanchette. He played a priest commissioned to assassinate the Queen. I remember being stunned by his eyes and the inability to understand my attraction to such an unconventionally attractive man. Then I saw him in 'Enduring Love' (which was a really good movie) and he wasn't as dangerous, but very cute. I did however recognize him right away even though it had been years since I saw 'Elizabeth'. I think it's fate, like we're meant to be together. Don't you? LOL
