He was on CNN yesterday doing a live interview from his home on quarantine. Apparently he contracted coronavirus in Atlanta, had a difficult time of finding a place to get treatment, finally found a medical facility that was doing testing and was initially turned away until a staffer recognized him from TWD and then he got helped which he said he found “disgusting” (getting the star treatment). And then $9000 later after medical tests he was told his condition was inconclusive and he was sent home.

Not necessarily. If he's covered through SAG-AFTRA health insurance, we as actors, need to make a certain amount of money each year to qualify for it; and it's a lot of money. So if he hasn't made that much since the year started he wouldn't qualify for it.

Actually, I don’t think he ever said either way that his insurance wouldn’t cover it. I think he was just incredulous at the cost of the exams plus the fact that the hospital couldn’t even tell him if he had coronavirus or not. So there’s a very good chance that either his insurance will cover the cost of the exams and treatment, or that he can cover the cost out of pocket.
