Look, all I can say is that I am currently in the midst of an amazing relationship with a co-worker. If it ultimately turns out bad, so be it; it will have been worth every second. If I am forced to eventually move on to another job, so be it; it will have been worth every second.

Read about it here - although a great deal has happened since I last posted in that thread.

I say do not date someone you work with. A couple at work did. When it was good it was good . But when it turned bad. the guy was a drunk and she got tired of being around him. They broke up. They both tried to get each other fired and spread rumors about each other. Dude was hung and a co-worker ( Bi guy) told him one day if they were having problems; he could move in with him. Which he did move in with said guy. She also accused him of being gay and a drunkard. It did not stop until he decided leave
the company.

So as I wrote, they were assholes to one another. This shit goes on in relationships that didn't start at work. The only difference is that you don't get front row seats to the asshattery.....

I know two straight couples who met at work and are happily married. One of the women did report to the man as her direct line boss and that was frowned on. He was going through a divorce too, so all quite messy. She decided to leave shortly after and actually that was a really good career move. I was invited to their wedding :)
