Martin, interesting. i live in Los Angeles, the mecca for superficiality. Believe me, your comment while insightful and true, is a cliche and stereotype for good reason. I agree with you and almost raised it, but i was waiting for this conversation to grow more. I liked where it was going.
yes, you're right sadly, that it's all about money, especially in this town. and i've been down that road. i haven't done the bottle service, but i think i'd honestly have to get a much nicer leased car, etc first. to play that game.
i guess i also would need to find those clubs here in LA too. But yes, the point you're making is salient and another part of the equation. I was hoping to meet girls where i don't have to pay a 20 dollar cover drop a 500$ bar tab and then take them home if i'm lucky. at that point, i should just get a hooker. right?
I lived in France's answer to So. Cal for a while, did the bottle service/VIP section/hottest nightclubs deal, partied with the hotties. Thing about that is, if you hang out with that crowd long enough, you start hating women. You treat them nicely, put effort into showing you a good time, they dismiss you. You devalue everything and everyone by throwing money around like it has no value and they do anything for you. It was a lost period of my life, for real. It's easy to see how the young and extremely wealthy have no respect for anyone.
I just don't know if "having lots of sex with lots of girls" is worth the loss of value you hold towards people.
I guess it's a good thing I don't live in LA then.
