Davey Wavey

we are waiting for the pics ;-)

I'm not gonna be 'that guy' but most of the pics he sent me have already been posted on here anyway. He's in Palm Springs if anyone actually gives a shit. Be ready for instant interrogation. Even if he initiates the conversation, you must immediately prove yourself to His Highness! I'd literally said just one word to him in response to his initial message before the demands began. Way too arrogant for my liking.

To be fair, I think he is fully aware of forums and threads like this, where people intentionally try to catfish or just out to get nude pics from the famous person so they can post it (or even worse, try to sell it).
I mean we wouldn't be surprised if various other famous models or artists would be a bit hesitant to just send out nudes to whomever happen to message them.

Then I can agree there are different ways to go about it, ask nicely and maybe even mention they get tricked a lot by people just out to get their nudes, or someone saying "Prove yourself or get the F out of my DMs".
On the other hand, let's be honest, the behaviour you mention sounds a lot like a fake account that's using his pictures (as you said, only used pictures that could be easily found online) to get pictures from others.

I understand all of that, but again I didn't message him nor did I ask him to send me anything at any point. He came at ME (by initially dumping a bunch of unsolicited pics). I'd literally said one word back in response to the pics he'd sent ("Yum" or "Nice" or something to that effect) when the demands began. First it was "Send me a face pic" followed by "What's your IG?" followed by "Send me a pic of you sticking out your tongue while holding up three fingers." Yea...I'm right on top of that, Rose.

I'd totally get it if we were planning to meet up and wanted to verify one another was legit, but we'd only just finished saying hello to each other! Maybe you just had to be there to get how stupidly fast it all went down. It came across to me like he thinks he can just message whoever he pleases and immediately demand they jump through a bunch of hoops to prove themselves to him, all the while presuming they're even interested. Any initial interest I did have quickly evaporated. My dick shrinks up when it senses arrogance, conceit or entitlement.

Anyway, moving on.

i think the obvious is he found you hot and wanted to make sure you're not a catfish. the whole "send pic of you doing a very strange pose" is what's usually asked to prove if someone's for real(or sometimes they ask for you to hold a piece of paper with the time and date and your username in it). he probably did want to meet and hook up with you, but just wanted to make sure you weren't just gonna turn out to be someone pretending to be a hot guy

Yeh that's my interpretation as well. Or rather, one of them. He's a famous person being very used to people catfishing with stolen pictures (I mean there's probably a fair few accounts out there trying to catfish other guys using Davey's own pictures!). We all know when guys get horny the blood kinda leaves the more intellectual and sofisticated sections of their brain and goes straight into doing the routines to get to the hooking up.

I also cannot shake the thought that this was just another scammer and catfisher using Davey's pictures. I'd guess such scammers would go straight to "Send nudes pl0x" instead of proving authenticity by sending pictures in wierd poses. But it is also another tactic to try to take command of the situation. Just as the old Scam emails about a long lost prince trying to send money out of Nigeria intentionally had a lot of spelling errors and typos so that the people who saw through it wouldn't even bother replying, thus not wasting their time, a catfisher could try to take command so that if the person is not willing to follow along, they dont waste their time.

If anything you should have just replied with a "You first, since you claim to be a famous person" followed by your own wierd pose of choice! See if the scammer just bails on you or if Davey really was up for it!

Well a little small talk before making demands would've gone a lot further. Instead it came across as entitled and bossy and ain't nobody got time for that. As far as whether or not the profile is really his: If you look at his IG, he's currently in Palm Springs and has been in the area for some time now. I'd actually seen his profile on Grindr for a few days prior to him messaging me but I never bothered to make any contact because I figured he'd probably be a douchebag which he ultimately confirmed. I like the idea of turning it around on him by making demands of my own, but I never suspected that I was being catfished and I was too busy rolling my eyes to think of that at the time. I just laughed and asked him why I was being interrogated (he never responded after that).
