But it also expresses itself as bullying and physical violence by queer people against queer people (as in the closet case high school bully, or closeted politicians.

And also open politicians like the current prime minister of Serbia who is openly lesbian: "After she was appointed prime minister, Brnabić said that she did not want to be branded Serbia's gay prime minister and that she did not plan "to push LGBT legal reforms at this stage" because she wanted to prioritise other policy reforms." She's not pro-marriage equality even though she has a partner and child.

Anyhow, ageism is another form of injustice with different origins. I'm not an expert on it and of course cultures may express this in different ways, such as some cultures that show more respect and support for older people. I would guess in gay male U.S. culture (which is not a monolith anyhow), emphasis on youth may relate to an added perception of health, which considering the HIV/AIDs crisis may be related to a continued stigmatization of aging.

But also it reinforces itself. And as much as there is a that social media grouping "The Old Gays", they are in the utter minority in social media and reflect their own limited experiences.

But also, standards of beauty for men differ than that for women (highly generalized statement as "men" and "women" don't mean specific bodies or faces. I'm really not an expert on this at all but I imagine, or at least idealize that lesbians may be less likely to stigmatize aging, possibly taking on some of the perceptions that allow people to see George Clooney's wrinkles as natural and attractive but Julia Roberts better not get too many.

And then for the models (to try to make my comment relevant to this thread more so), I do think if people look there are a range of ages and body types posted on this site but there are also people who are less likely to self-examine the attractions they feel and may have suppressed some as they are not mainstream so they would be missing out. But my point is we need that community education but frankly have mostly the opposite nowadays. At least there are some LGBTQ retirement homes popping up in a few locations.
