Dear men without a job,
You were not a mechanic, a banker, a teacher, a coach, a short-order cook. You were a man with a job; it did not define you. Now that it's gone, are you less of a man? If you never had a job yet, if you're fresh from earning a useless degree, are you sub-human? No! Have you seen the news lately? Have you seen how crowded the unemployment offices are? Have you not run into your former co-workers in waiting rooms for the same interviews? The world economy is depressed. If you are working hard to be self-sufficient, have a plan, still have a vision for yourself, and the will to implement it, you're okay by me. Let me go over your resume. Let me practice interviewing with you. I am great at mimicking those horrible stress interviews. And stop by for supper every once n a while. There's no shame in letting a woman feed you from time to time. You'll find work when the work gets found. In the mean time, you're still a man.
