A majority of men I think it is about 70 per cent are at least 5 inches in length, but less than 7 inches. Penis length is then considered normal, which is a bit different from the average, between 5 and 7 inches. Anything below 1.7 inches is considered medically non functional to have sex with. Anything above 9 inches is rare. There is a whole thread about "how rare" but I digress here.
Now what is "well hung?" That is in the eye of the beholder. There is the flaccid state where one considers a guy well hung and then there is the erect state and one might be considered well hung in one category and not in the other. And then girth. Does that factor into whether a guy is well hung or not. A slim 7 incher might be consider not hung and a thick 7 incher might be consider well hung or just the opposite.
As a guy, my definition of well hung is anyone bigger than I am.
Not that I am big. But in my mind, I rate other guys compared to me.
And since most guys have clothes on when I see them, I also define guys as well hung by the bulge they produce in their pants. Of course it could be a sock or dildo for all I know. And the balls have a big impact on the size of the bulge as well. In general I would say that anything above 7 inches would be well hung since only about 15 percent of guys would be longer that 7 inches.

I only think of "hung" in the flaccid state, as it is "hanging." If I was going to use a "well" term for the erect state, it might be endowed.
I think there is a more consistent opinion on what constitutes a large flaccid penis than there is a large erect penis. First, most men see a fair number of soft cocks, but not many hard ones. Most of the hardons they see are in porn, which is not a representative sample. Unfortunately, this also leads to many men having a chronic insecurity about their erect size.
I'd also be honest in saying that, since almost all experience I have with hard cocks is with my own, my perception is skewed. One of the few occasions I have been up close with a hard cock was in a threesome. I was up close enough over the course of events to gauge him at about 6 inches. Though this is average, Ill admit that one of the first thoughts that ran through my head when I saw his dick was, "Damn, that's pretty small."
