I could see that happening, and would like to see it also. The key will be how strongly Obama does, every other election where it's the Prez at the top of the ticket tends to influence the congressional results more than the off-year ones do. If Obama cruises I could definitely see a Speaker Pelosi again. If it's relatively close, I think the odds go down. I'm more worried about the Ds holding the Senate, seems like they have as tough a road there too.

One can always hope. There is so much that can and will happen between now and then. It's really too early to tell. One would think the case would be sealed after last August's debt debacle but Americans have acute amnesia and will most like forget all about it.

I would agree that it is much too early to tell. The Democratic Party is doing a good job of vetting candidates, considering that the Teabaggers did such a lousy job of vetting theirs. The various superpacs are going to bleed a river of money to the Republicans, and the Republicans have gerrymandered several states. For example, North Carolina has had six Democrats and four Republicans. They lost one seat and the Republicans redrew the lines so they expect 7 Republicans and 2 Democrats. We shall see.

Several other states have deeper problems. Ohio's use of touch-screen Diebold machines, rigged to give a 3 to 5 point advantage to Republicans, will hurt, and Alabama and Georgia haven't had an honest vote count in 30 years.

Why would you say that the tea baggers have done such a bang up job........ they tried to bring the country to a stand still by obstructing every move they could and still could not do shit. I guess it remains to be seen how much muscle the religious wacks have left because i think people are tired of their bullshit.

In Ohio I think they have 16 congressional districts now (a bit lazy to look that up right now, so I'll just go with it) and the Rs control the governor and both branches of state legislature. They basically cut a deal with a few factions of the Ds and created 4 safe D districts, while all the rest are more than likely going to be R for the next decade. Texas is notorious for doing shit like this also, in fact isn't their redistricting being decided by the Supreme Court? I am sure there are examples of Ds doing it too, but 2010 did sweep a lot of the teabaggers into office on the state level, which makes congressional boundaries a factor in these elections, for sure.

The orange boner has so badly embarrassed the house and lowered its job approval rating to a record low that , yes, democratic takeover is quite possible . Only 25 seats need to change hands. And yes, i want my nancy back. God bless nancy and san francisco!!!!

...the Teabaggers...

Wow. That's tolerant. Can we dispel the myth of the tolerant, loving, enlightened liberal already? It seems many of the liberals on this board are seething with hatred for fiscal conservatives. In the interest of having a quality, adult discussion I would encourage all to show some TOLERANCE of those with respectful albeit different pespectives.

Can you correlate what the Baggers have done with being fiscally conservative? Now if you would have said obstructionist and that kind backfired on them.

"I would encourage all to show some TOLERANCE of those with respectful albeit different pespectives." .................. Didn't Michele Bachmann start the Teabagger Caucus?

Why do you hate Bachmann? Why do you hate people that want the federal government to spend our resources more responsibly?

How do you know Bachmann wanted the government to spend resources more responsibly? She gave no explaination to what she would do other than to say Obama has failed. She was a total joke from the start and I hope she and all her other Tea Party friends go bye-bye this Fall.

I never stated that Bachmann wants to spend resources more responsibly.

On another note, do you favor a large, socialist government and socialist society?
