Aaah, just as I suspected, you're here to silence my disent. Why are you authoritarians always so aggressive?

Your dissent has been silenced by my never replying to a post you made a month ago and only raising the issue when you expressed disbelief that I have some familiarity with your views?

@TexanStar stop projecting your toxic ideas! You don't know me and you have everything wrong.

I haven't posted in this thread for a long time because of bullshit like that.

I posted the question with genuine curiosity and good intentions, the question is a woman's issue since it addresses the thought process of attachment/commitment from a female perspective.

Honestly, this is what a guy has to do in this section these days.

Don't. Just don't. Okay?

I told you that the context is that since you have been here since 2004, you of all people should know that a lot of the men here (thankfully not all) accuse women of all kinds of things, chiefly among them dishonesty, and disingenuous replies. It is present in the constant threads that go, "I asked my lady and she said, but I don't believe her, so what do you, strange women I never met, think?" It is present in the constant threads where the male poster asks for an opinion, and then only those posters who echo his own thoughts are thanked for their honesty, while the others are dismissed.

And frankly,

I'm just saying. In the context of what few things you post that aren't porn, and the general tone of men asking the opinions of women on this site, the only way to interpret your (honestly, frankly patronizing) admonishment to be honest or frank is that you expect dishonesty, and you would like to be clear that you wish to avoid that. And fuck all of that. I'm just telling this so that you know for a fact I see you, I have always seen you, and that you're fooling no one. This isn't one of your biggest tit threads. The women here are not just hot photos. We will talk back to you. We can read, think, and analyze data.

Thanks for your answer LaFemme, men and women seem to be on the same wavelength.

I listened to AlteredEgo but I'll just add this about my use of "honest", like many male members here, I am a hetero male and unless I'm concentrating, it's inevitable that I'm going to say or write insensitive things, our minds do not analyse things quickly enough to know that it might sound insulting or offensive before it comes out and to be honest it's very difficult to concentrate on self censoring when we're focused on an idea.
It will make you mad but it won't stop, you can't change the way our brains work, it's different from yours, I don't expect you to understand but it might be good for you to accept the difference and not give so much importance to our mispoken words and focus on our intentions instead.
This is sexist bullshit. I don't disrespect men by underestimating their ability to communicate as you do in your little pile of excuses for bad behavior. Plenty of men do not seem to have this problem that you claim is just natural and innate to men. There's one posting in this very thread who is a reasonable example of this. Look. I'm treating you like I treat everyone. If I smell shit when you talk, count on me to hand you a sugar-free breath mint.

Ae, what I'm trying to say is you don't need to keep hiding the fact that a guy has to have a 10in schlong for you to like him. It's time that you stop lying and say how you really feel

Big sister is watching me! That's actually quite unnerving
If you think that I deserve a character assasination for having a different ideology then go ahead.
Just so you know, I love freedom which is usually a centrist position - as far from both extremes of the political spectrum you can get.

Anyway, whatever ideology people have they still have to mull over their reasons for being with someone, my politics are irrelevant to this thread.

Not sure how me talking about men's failings is sexist, I thought sexism is defined as considering one gender to be superior to the other.
Thanks for your input anyway.

Here's the definition for you (first hit on google search)

sex·ism
ˈsekˌsizəm/

noun
  1. prejudice, stereotyping, or discrimination, typically against women, on the basis of sex.

Speaking generalizations about all men is just as sexist as making such remarks about all women. Additionally, you're using it as a way to try and dodge responsibility for your own remarks (phrasing it as due to inherent biology rather than just accepting that it's something you could work on.

Dunno why "I'm sorry, I hadn't looked at it that way, it's something I'll work harder on" is so hard for some people around here to say (and mean).

Uh, no, perhaps that is some kind of supremacism, but it matches none of the definitions I know of sexism.

Big sister is watching me! That's actually quite unnerving
No, I'd say your general perception of other people has more potential to be unnerving. My ability to remember what I've read and how to find it should not seem extraordinary.

Just so you know, I love freedom which is usually a centrist position - as far from both extremes of the political spectrum you can get.
Who beside you is talking about politics? That thread is in Ask a Man. It asks why you believe women are entitled. You said they are entitled because of female supremacists advancing an agenda in Hollywood. And then you asked here if we do feel entitled to anything. You expressed that we do, then asked if we do, with the admonishment to "be honest". Da fuq outta here with ya bullshit. Of course the two things are relevant to each other.

If you don't like it, go back to your fantasy women. They don't talk back.

You didn't read correctly, "unless I'm concentrating, it's inevitable that I'm going to say or write insensitive things" is what I actually said, it just doesn't come naturally to me.
Anyway good for you that you are able to avoid being insentive, that's a great skill, I don't know many guys like that.

Man you are the drama llama today.

You can ask @hunghorse30 if I've never said anything insensitive.

The difference between you and I is that when he pointed it out to me, I listened, apologized, and made an effort not to make those types of remarks in the future (and I don't believe I've made any since then).

Context:

You were not misread. You over generalized about heterosexual men. I called you out on it because it is sexist, a man called you out on it because it is sexist, AND you we're using it to cop out on your patronizing admonishment that replies be honest or frank instead of apologizing for patronizing us, and implying that we lie, or are cowardly. You remember what you did next? You fucking backpedaled, Man? That is not dudely behavior. At all.

Not sure how me talking about men's failings is sexist

And yet you just told TS that you only spoke about yourself, and made no generalizations about men.

Sloppy communication is not a neccesarily male or heterosexual male trait. Sorry. You have to own your shit on this part of the website.
