Dick Martin Dies

Comic Dick Martin of Laugh In fame died. He discovered Goldie Hawn and Lily Tomlin and put them on tv.

I once read that his son was a porn star. Anyone know if this was true.

I think you are wrong in believing it was Dick Martin's son.
If I'm right it was Dick Smother's son.

I remember watching the reruns on TV as a kid--I still remember the very first Laugh In skit I ever saw. I laughed so hard I cried and I was hooked from that moment on. I am going to miss him. Great, great show.

I heard. The comedy world won't be the same without these two guys. I remember seeing Harvey Korman in some movie when I was a young kid where he was playing a character whose name was, I think, Professor Balls. It was a riot. But there was nothing better in the world than watching him with Tim Conway when one would start the other one laughing and they would try to contain themselves. Sometimes seeing these two interact would be funnier the actual skit itself.

Auguste Balls. In the Trail of The Pink Panther and Curse of The Pink Panther
-he had filmed scenes for The Pink Panther Strkes Again; they were however, deleted.

He portrayed the character Professor Auguste Balls in all three.

I remember the show, he at least outlived his career. I know of nothing Dick Martin has done recently but a few game show hosts in the 70's. Quote from wikepedia,

Martin died on May 24, 2008 of breathing complications in Santa Monica, California at the age of 86. He lost the use of a lung as a teenager and suffered respiratory problems late in life. He often acknowledged his lung issue by poking fun at it. Arriving for a party celebrating his 80th birthday in 2002, he passed out. After being revived by doctors and paramedics, Martin quipped, "Boy, did I make an entrance!"
