Oddly, I thought cock was the more US-centric. I've always heard it referred to as a dick or a knob over here.

Haven't read the whole thread, so not sure if my opinion has already been expressed by others.... but here goes.

I've always associated the terms "dick" with flaccid cocks. If you see another guy's penis while changing in the locker room or at the urinal, you're seen another guy's DICK. Doesn't matter if it is big or small. But for me, the term 'dick' would refer to a flaccid penis in a non-sexual context.

"Cock" for me denotes hardness and sexual penetration. When watchin porn with my buddies in college, we would comment that a guy had a big or small "cock".

This is sorta how I feel. Cock is more sexual conotation to it, when dick is just the word I use when referring to one in more of a non sexual manner. My example being: "He's got a big dick." But if he was doing someone, "Look at the huge cock he's fucking him/her with."

I have absolutely no valid reason for this, but when I think of or refer to a penis as a "dick", in my mind I am thinking about a small or average size penis. But when I think of the term "cock", for some reason it's always of the larger variety.

Once I heard it explained that "dick" refers to an underdeveloped penis on a young boy or an adolescent, whereas "cock" refers to a fully developed, long, thick, juicy penis on an adult male stud.

What do you guys think? Have you ever heard about a difference between these two terms? I'd appreciate your input. Thanks!
