Can't help it. I have always said dick. I like the way it sounds. And I say nuts and not balls. Dick and nuts. My two favorite snacks.

I also think cock is used more to describe a larger penis. Like, you can have a huge dick, big dick, average dick, small dick, or tiny dick, but you don't really hear people say "little cock" or "small cock" as often, definitely nowhere near as much as "big cock".

Cock is reserved for a big, powerful dick like wee-wee is used for a tiny dick. It's not a rule that's set in stone, but I think it has become the norm, when you hear "cock" you picture a big penis.

Dad gave me the word for it--cock. My mom used that strange and funny word that sounded to me like peeeenis--just like the other funny word, vag-AYE-na. I identified strongly with my dad, (who I thought was cool), so I stuck with his name for it.

"Dick" is most commonly used I find, but I prefer to say "Cock" it sounds more masculine and strong. To me saying "dick" sounds weak.

I use them in the same context. They both mean the same to me.

I use the word cock as a term of endearment, If I really like it I call it a cock, if its just ok it's a dick.

The slang term "knob" is sometimes used instead of dick or cock here in the UK. It's not a word I use myself, as it always suggests a small one. ☺

Knob seems to have a restricted use - it's certainly British English, perhaps even English English. I've heard it used to mean one of any size, big, average or small. It can be used in a non-sexual context, as "mate, your knob's hanging out!". A knob is a man who is a bit of an idiot, often a "fucking knob!" To knob is to fuck (perhaps without full penetration, just head), or to suck a knob. It sounds like nob, which is British slang for a posh person (ie a member of the nobility), so to call someone a k/nob is ambiguous (idiot or noble). Come to think of it, in the UK nobs are mostly knobs! Correct use of the word would be from one British person to or about another, so as a Brit I can say @Joll has got a nice knob.;)
