Last week Perez Hilton posted XXX-rated pics of Dustin Lance Black from a sexual encounter three years ago. Those pix were withdrawn from the Perez Hilton website a couple of days later without explanation, although they were already in wide circulation by then. There was an interesting essay by Mike Alvear on "The Huffington Post" which indicts Perez Hilton for betraying his own community by "throwing Lance Black under the bus." Do you agree?

He did if you consider other gay guys to be in some secret brotherhood. He reported hot hollywood news as he always does. He's reported on other str8 celebs sex tapes etc. To say he shouldn't have "betrayed" DLB would be to say that all democrats have to vote the same etc....There is no free ride in celeb gossip I think.

No, he is an equal opportunity gossip whore. He did nothing wrong. The story faded away. He would be a hypocrite to only post negative sex story videos about straight people.
 
It would only be betrayal if he was a friend of his or made some kind of promise not to post them.

But just because it's a gay related issue? Absolutely not. Dustin made some bad choices and it's now catching up with him. He's not a performer so I doubt it will have much of a bad affect on his career anyhow. If any.

I think the fact that we've elevated Perez Hilton to some sort of gay orator and commentator status is a pretty scary phenomenon.

Talk about shooting ourselves in the stereotypical foot.....

Personally I don't think we've done that but there's no denying he's become a major presence in the gossip world. Probably as big as Rona Barrett! lol.

If anyone betrayed DLB, it was his boytoy friend, Jeff DeLancy, who is the proprietor of FratBoyCam.com (which appears to be down). He's a college student and claims to be straight. Mr. DeLancy, aka "Cameron," denies he leaked the pics and video. He has left the country for an unspecified amount of time according to his spokesperson.

What the hell is happening in this world? If you can't trust a porn-site operator to keep man-2-man sex pictures private, just who can you trust these days??? Next thing you know, Bernie Madoff will be giving investment advice on CNBC...or more likely the Fox Business Channel since Fox has a fondness for employing perjurers and felons.

BTW, I always thought Lance's inspiration for Big Love was his Mormon background. Maybe I was wrong...just maybe it was Jeff aka "Cameron." lol
