I want to know one thing the president has done that he can truly hang his hat on. Healthcare? Ya that one worked out. Good luck having it even stand in court. They passed an ineffective bill.

Granted, it could have been a better bill if it had included a public option. Then we wouldn't have needed an individual mandate (that dubious Republican idea).

As it is, the bill still has many strengths, which the Republicans themselves acknowledge. Their official party platform during the last round of elections had them promising to repeal the bill--and then reinstate several of its best features.

The only difference is, the Republicans cherry-picked the attractive parts without giving any indication how they would make them work.

Stimulus? Whoops, that one was a gigantic waste too. So much for unemployment staying below 8%

A waste? Depends who you listen to. If it's economists, the only problem with the stimulus is that it wasn't big *enough* to counteract the financial collapse.

No one said anything about race, but you. This is why I believe liberals like you are racist at heart.

1) Reading really is fundamental. Did you even attempt to read the post to which I responded? Just in case you didn't, it said, "A few news stories going around of black people saying that once Obama got into the White House, he'd be paying for their gas, rent, car, blah blah blah." If you'll note, the writer of that post felt it was of some sort of grand significance to bring up the race of the people of whom he spoke. I'm sure that if you had indeed read it, you wouldn't be vapid enough to believe that he/she just mentioned it "in passing".

2) Should I assume you're unintelligent because you can't read a passage and comprehend it? No. And likewise, you shouldn't assume that I am a liberal because I don't subscribe to the rhetoric which you so blindly defend. I am not now, nor I ever been a liberal. But since it's assumption day, can I assume you don't know that the mention of race in itself doesn't automatically coincide with the term "racism"? Believe it or nix, some people are such stauch racists that any mention of race raises their hooded hackles. Resemble, much?

I don't vote for the two sham parties, I go outside of them.

Yeah? How's that working out for ya? Does the plethora of dark horse, no-chance candidates thanks to their complete lack of funding (both financially and intellectually) who compromise the dozens of third party candidates make you feel better about your vote?

Voting for an alternative is great. Using your vote to protest is just a waste of a vote but even if that weren't true? Doing so and then using that as evidence of some kind of superiority is, at best, fallacious and annoying.

"I don't eat meat. Humph."

"Yeah? Well I don't wear leather!"

"And that's why the two of you look like Holocaust survivors, now please, shut it and let me enjoy my McDonalds."
