Different from Dad

When I went to school, virtually every boy was circumcised. My next door friend was [we peed together on rocks and so forth.] Present day it seems boys won't even undress in front of each other in any circumstance, so I don't think you'd ever know if you looked different or not.

I am cut just like my dad, and my flaccid dick looks just like his flaccid. I was circumcised automatically, they didn't even ask [late 60s, Texas.] Evidently there are many accounts of this. My younger brother was not circumcised.

If my dad was uncircumcised, I would disown him, as I am cut. If my younger brother wasn’t I would I praise my parents for realizing that circumcision isn’t necessary and they changed their minds.

In fact, after talking to my parents about circumcision and what it has done to me, they would have never done it.

I knew two brothers and the older one wasn't circumcised but the younger one was. I guess the parents figured not circumcising the older one was a mistake and decided to have the younger son circumcised.

Or circumcising the younger one was. I am referencing myself and something that actually happened to me. You can do all the guessing and twisting you want referring to people that aren’t you.

Back in the circ heydays, it was strongly recommended that all brothers be the same. It is possible that when brotheres are different, one had to be done. (or perhaps born with foreskin which doctors declared redundant and strongly recommended be cut).

Another situation is brother 1 was born in a town where circ wasn't "necessary" to fit in, but brother 2 was born after they moved to a town where everyuone was cut and circ done to fit in.

(this happened often to immigrating young families where the brothers born in europe left with foreskin but those born in USA were cut).

I am cut. My Dad is uncut - his three brothers are also uncut. My Dad and I never really talked about our differences in that regard that I remember. Most of my cousins that I have seen naked are also cut except one set of two brothers with about two years difference in age - the oldest is uncut and the youngest is cut. I'm not sure why that is and I've never asked.

Im cut, but my dad is uncut.
His family are from the UK and all uncut, my mum’s family were Australian and cut. My mum agreed to the circumcision in the hospital when I was born with out telling my dad. He didn’t want me cut but it was too late

Dad and I are both cut, but it was never discussed. When I was born (American), it was always done as a matter of convention, for better or worse.

Dad & me are both UK born, him early 1950s, me late 1970s. He's cut & I'm uncut (permanently retracted by choice). I've never discussed it, but I think it's just a consequence of falling circumcision rates in the UK.
